Hey all,
I see that there are more than one person reporting aches and pains. I am just going to say I highly recommend increased stretching, right after the workout when you are warm when you can.
stretching the hips and It band can help with back pain.
i had a physical therapist at one point who said you have to stretch in order to build muscle.
but also, you will just feel better. I decided to start adding in 20 min yoga after shredding as often as I can. also it burns calories, though not a lot.
here are some resources. you can do really lazy yoga that is just stretching since you already did your cardio!
yogaglo.com - $18/ month. stream as many classes as you want from a yoga studio in santa monica. great teachers. and you can preview the videos, as well as do a 15 day free trial.
yoga yak on youtube, as well as others, upload great classes there for free.
or your local yoga studio.
the other benefit to yoga, as well as pilates, is that alignment instructions when internalized will help you to be able to do stuff like shred with correct alignment, which helps you to keep from hurting yourself.
-from a long term Yogi!

Thanks, Ara!
I definitely have been adding in more stretch time before and after the workout as 2 minutes each just does not cut it. I read a fitness article by a personal trainer a while back that said you should do a cool down stretch until your body actually feels cool and your skin is no longer pink. Otherwise, you haven't gotten rid of the buildup of lactic acid, which can cause soreness.
Also, I love yoga. Thanks for the website suggestions. I may have to start adding in yoga again to my day.!0 -
