    There are many reasons. No, I would not completely lose interest in a guy who was a virgin, but I would be weary to date him because of two extremes: 1) He might get completely attached and clingy, which is a no-go, or 2) Later down the road in the relationship, if there is one, he might decide that he's only had sex with one girl and he needs to experience more!.. which is also acceptable, but meh.

    Fair enough. I guess I never really thought about it too much, although I rarely if ever run into virgins with peers my age anymore so I never think about it.

    The same can be said for virgin women, although I think they would be more inclined to become a stage five clinger.

    This is true, like I said very good points.

    I am a little impressed to be honest, I wasn't expecting a worthwhile rebuttal.

    However I probably just didn't analyze the situation enough to come up with that conclusion.

    Like you said, it's rare to come across virgins nowadays, especially with craigslist personals.

    I'm a virgin also, so it doesn't bother me. I'm more annoyed that he flip flopped on it. Either you are or you are not. No in between...I don't know why he flip flopped though. That's why I'm confused. There are plenty of men with experience that are probably lame in bed.

    Attempting to rationalize his mentality will be futile. We could all give you our best guesses,

    but they are guesses at best. Did you tell him something along the lines of "you really wanted

    to save it for someone special", if you did he probably made it up so you would like him more?

    He may not though, I ultimately don't know because I don't know the entire situation.

    The bottom line is, if you enjoy being with the dude, stop over analyzing this scenario.

    It almost sounds as if you have some trust issues (not trying to be mean at all). If you

    are already unsure about this guy, then it might be an issue.

    Only you know the whole story, if this is your only complaint with him thus far,

    it seems silly to can him. If there are a million other trust issues or situations along with

    this one, then maybe you need to stop talking to him?
