WEEK 8 CHALLENGE!!!!

As I mentioned previously, I did not have time to do a video for this week's challenge....BUT I do have a WEEK 8 CHALLENGE for us!!!!! We are half way through this challenge, we have 7 more weigh ins left! I thought this would be a good time to take a look at what we had set as our GOALS for this challenge. I will list all the GOAL WEIGHTS that you had posted in the beginning of this challenge. I would like for each of us to take a look at these goals and see what these goals mean to us TODAY. What are we going to do to accomplish these goals?? Are these goals realistic??? Are you close to your goals??? What is stopping you from getting closer to your goal?? What tips can you give us to help us to real our goals???
And I also thought I would throw in a PHYSICAL CHALLENGE:
100 squats per day!!!! You can break them down throughout the day...or do it all at once. Here is a video on how to do proper squats:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXJrBgI2RxA
Again, like in all of our challenges, CHALLENGE YOURSELF!!! If you can do 20 squats on Day 1....then work your way up to 50 squats. If you can not do squats, pick a different activity to do and challenge yourself
I wish everyone a GREAT WEEK 8!!!!!
Pam

WOW....looking at my Goal Weight really makes me want to STOP wasting time and START focusing! I know that I can do this!!!! If I wanted to meet my goal I would need to lose 2.8lbs per week, which is something that can be done with discipline and hard work. Even if I am not able to reach my goal......I will try hard to get as close as possible!!!! For me, it is all about planning ahead of time (my meals and exercise). Then I NEED to stop BOREDOM eating and I NEED to STOP baking
I CAN NOT control myself around sweets. I just LOVE to bake.....BUT it will just have to wait until Christmas!!!
I guess what I am trying to say is I need to be a little selfish and FOCUS on PAM!!!
Just wanted to share a progress pic of me....the first pic was from Christmas 2011...right before we started these challenges (about 185 lbs) and the othe pic was a feek weeks ago (about164 lbs). I do not have many pics of me before because I was always HIDING from the camera! but i just came across this pic and I finally see a difference. Time to keep going and reach my goal!!!0 -
Wow Pam! Thanks for sharing the pictures. What a difference! It's amazing what all of your hard work has done!
Looking at my original goal I feel... :frown: I really thought the weight would come of quicker. When I can I am going to check in with my Dr. to make sure I am not having any medical issue (I am losing a lot of hair and having major hot flashes) or that my medication is not hindering my efforts (I take Cymbalta for Fibromyalsia). In the meanwhile I am going to work even harder on the clean eating and consistent logging. I am not sure if I will make goal but I will do my best to get as close as possible!0 -

Thanks so much Mary!!! I really was feeling down lately too because the weight is not coming off as quickly as I had hoped. But think about what progress you have already made and then figure out what works for you! I hope everything goes well with your doctor's visit. I am with you all the way with trying harder on the clean eating and LOGGING!!!! We can do this!!!0 -
Congrats to you Pam, your pics show proof of your hard work.....you look great!
To reach my goal of 150 I would have to lose approximately 1.3 pounds per week from this point forward. This is definitely obtainable! However, with my poor food choices and recent surgeries I am a little concerned that this may not happen for me. I will continue to push forward doing what I can within my restrictions to reach my goal or beyond. My biggest downfall is boredom eating and no will power when it comes to greasy and sugary foods :grumble: . On that note, I am VERY happy to be back and looking forward to doing everything within my power to reach my goals as well as encouraging/cheering on the rest of you!!!
CHEERS!!!:drinker:0 -

Thanks April! Your pics also show what great progress you have done!! I am sure that you will be able to meet your goal!! Just take it one step at a time! So glad that you are back:flowerforyou:0 -
Wow..nice picts! I thought that perhaps my goal weight was dreaming big,but now that I 6ish pounds away, I am happy that I am closing in on that number. I can't even remember what my starting weight was, so it will be interesting at the finish line. I would love to see it come of faster, but have finally realized it will come off, but my expectations are not realistic. Onward I go....
On the flip side..I am all for squats and have put in my 100 today. Overachiever.
I will be on vacation next week, but will log as quickly as possible. These are doable on vacation!

WHAT???? You are unstoppable!!! WTG!!! So inspiring!0 -
For me to reach my goal for this challenge I would have to lose about 20 lbs which is 3 lbs per week. I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna hit that mark but I will work harder to get close to it. If you notice my exercise numbers I put up, exercising is not the issue. It's getting a handle on the food logging. I started back logging my food yesterday (one of the things I hate to do) and I changed up my exercise routine a bit. I've added different workouts. I started the 30 day shred yesterday. I'm not a fan of Jillian Michaels at all but I turn the volume all the way down and do the workout that way....tehehe!! I'm hoping to see results.
I have wasted some valueable time so I have a lot of making up to do!!!! Btw....I love squats. Thanks Pam.0 -

I second that. My legs are hurting so bad but it will pay off in the end!!0 -
Wow Pam!! Congratulations!! What an amazing transformation- you're definitely an inspiration:)
Wow my goal weight seems crazy!! But I am determined to do it or at least get as far down as I possibly can. My biggest problem i deal with it eating when I am bored- which hasn't been often since I am far too busy to eat. Since I am far too busy to eat, I have a problem eating healthy because I am always in a hurry and I don't have the time to cook a proper meal between class all day and then work it's a pain, but I am trying. Hopefully I keep losing as the temp continues to wind down.0 -
Friday 100 squats! Yea..my thighs burn.:sad:0

Squats are something we do ALL the time in bootcamp but they are a great exercise! I love them!0

Thanks Heather! I could not have done this without you guys and I conitnue my journey with all of your help!!! I am in the same boat as you when it come to the boredom eating!!!!! As it gets chilly out I guess we go out less.....as eat more. And on the flip side, I completely understand how difficult it must be to find time to prepare healthy meals. I am going to try hard to eat healthy this week. We can do this!!!!0 -

You have done awesomePam!!! I think that I can reach my goal, it would mean 1.2 or 1.3 lbs per week for the rest of the challenge and I know that I did best when I ate little unprocessed food so I am going back to that this week and see if I'm right.0
