11/2/12 Immediate Change in Group Training Sessions

Hello all,

It is with sadness yet excitement that I am announcing that effective immediately, I am stopping our group training/boot camp sessions and will begin offering individual training sessions instead. I am making this change for a number of reasons but most notably due to waning and inconsistent boot camp participation. As you know, without much success, we've experimented with changing our workout time to try to attract better participation.

In lieu of the group sessions, for those who have expressed interest or who would like more individualized attention, I am offering the personalized training. These sessions consist of two one-hour sessions per week for a total of eight per month, and are offered in three month blocks (three month minimum). Offering personalized training that will fit around your schedule will allow me to tailor programs and will yield improved results as I will be able to better monitor exertion, exercise form, etc. These sessions will also involve more exercise options than we were able to experience in boot camp. I am truly excited about this prospect and the goals that we can accomplish with this model. I apologize for the short notice for this change and for any inconvenience it might cause. I feel this is the best time to make the change before we enter a new month and we get deeper into winter, earlier darkness, etc. It has been a pleasure working with everyone in class, and it's been awesome seeing fitness levels improve. I hope to continue to work with some of you, and I will see the rest throughout the community!
