So I JUST found this! And I want to make sure I am fully understanding everything I read... I want to gross my 15% cut for the day, and when I log my exercise cals I need to make sure I net at least at or above my BMR. Is that right? I have read so many things on this website now that my brain is on overload and I confuse myself haha

Thanks!

Also one more question! When figuring out my TDEE I did moderate based on the sticky saying even people with desk jobs (I'm a student) usually are moderately active. I work out 6 days a week doing Insanity, but the rest of the day I sit in class, at home doing homework.... did I calculate my TDEE right or should I change it? Thanks!!

My thinking was basically averaging the two extremes of working out hard but sitting around would be moderate

    Hello, there!

Yes, you are right, with the fact, that you have to net your BMR, better to eat more than that though.

As for your activity level. Insanity is one tough programme and you certainly do not qualify as moderate exercise. You have to go up a level to strenuous.
We tend to underestimate our activity level
