I have slowly upped my calories from 1200 to 1500 and thinking of jumping up to do a reset i just had a few questions
Can I have cheat days ? I usually have a cheat day once a fortnight .also do I have to watch my marcos I watch protein but I dont really mind if I go over the rest .the reason I joined mfp was cause I could eat what I wanted but just in smaller amounts
Thanks just trying to figure out if this for me .since going to 1500 I have been really hungry and cheated twice in 2 weeks is it normal to get hungry when upping calories I was fine between 1200 and 1400 ?

Yes, it is perfectly normal to get hungrier for a while when you first up your calories. Most of us experienced that. It wears off though once your body gets more used to having a decent amount of quality food available to it.
Regarding cheat days, I guess this is up to you. Most of us find that we no longer 'need' cheat days because the increased calorie allowance leaves a bit more room for the occasional treat, making us less likely to crave certain foods as they can be fitted into the diet as and when and no foods are off limits. This is designed as a lifestyle, i.e. something that you will be able to do forever. Obviously that means making room for treats, holidays, etc. as life throws them at us.
Some followers go without logging at the weekends to allow themselves a bit more freedom, others log everything every day. You have to find what works for you. If a cheat day makes the mental process easier for you then so be it.0 -
I did the same thing. 1200-1400-1650-2300. Just do the RESET and be that much further ahead. You won't need to worry about cheating anymore. I would have been a month further along if I had started reset and just went with it. I did change my macros though. I have carbs set at 35/40%, protein at 30/35% and fats at 30%. Am also lifting heavy.
I eat out and don't worry. I have odd dessert and its fine. Drink LOTS of water and get your sleep!0 -
It really depends on how many calories you are eating in total. So if your 1500 plus your cheat meal will put you over your maintenance calories for the whole week then NO you should not have a cheat day.
I'm not sure of your numbers and what kind of a cut you are doing but most of us here are doing 10-15% which ends up being a less than 1 pound per week loss. My losses are half a pound a week so if I start adding in a cheat day then my losses will be next to nothing.0
