I lift Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

I cycle to work (10 mile round trip) Monday through Friday so that technically adds on 5 hours of cardio in total, although I've been doing it for years so my body is pretty used to it.

One day on the weekend I'll usually go for a 2 to 3 hour walk (weather permitting) and I may do a yoga/stretching session on one of the other days off from lifting.

I don't really do any what I'd call 'intense' cardio as I get more than enough from my cycling etc.
  • Right now my plan is to lift 3x a week, HIIT 2-3x a week, and endurance cardio 1-2x a week.

Always view HIIT, if done correctly, as lifting, because that's what it is. Extreme anaerobic muscle engagement, that requires the same recovery as lifting if you are to get anything out of it.
Should only be 20% of total cardio done weekly.

Lifting for fat loss is best bang for your time. So 3 full body sessions spread out, or 2 upper and 2 lower, or even 3 upper and 3 lower if you have time. That makes each session very short, and can do some walking warmup/cooldown to aid recovery from previous day lifting.

I lift MON, WED, FRI. I do some LISS 2-3x/ week. Will increase more LISS in December when I'm looking to try and lean out more.
