Advise on Workout Programs

I have been doing the 6 week Power Sculpt program from the Biggest Losser and half way done with week 4. (If not familiar, you start out low intenisty for two weeks and then build intenisty every two weeks.) Last night, DH says "you need to boost your weights, you are slinging those around too easy." Which I tell him, it wasn't easy two weeks ago. But I kind of agree, I could go up a little. However, knowing that the next two weeks is going to be tough, I don't know if I should continue with my weights now till the end of six weeks, bump up mid program or bump up and start at week one again. Advise please????

I would go the whole way through with what you are weights you are currently using. Then when you finish start over with heavier weights. LIke you said, just because this particular section is easier, doesn't mean that the next will be.0

I always go as heavy as I can. If I am not failing by the last repitition, I know I can go heavier.
The only time that I don't follow that is if the work is fairly fast... For example, I have some DVDs by Kelly Coffey-Meyer and Jackie Warner. Both of these DVDs move along pretty quickly, and if I go too heavy, I lose my form, so I stay lighter for those ones. (Supreme 90 also tends to move along quickly, but not quite so much...)
Now, with Cathe Friedrich, she goes so nice and slow and uses perfect form so on her DVDs, I go as heavy as I can each time.0 -
Your muscles grow by challenging them either to endurance (i.e. do lots of push-ups) or for strength (i.e. bench increasing weight). I try to balance both, but focus more on strength. I recommend increasing your weight because you have gained strength, rather than being afraid of things being hard in the future...you want them to continue being hard.0
