Phase 2: Ongoing Weight Loss (OWL)

I posted this the other day in the Atkins forum and it's dead over there--maybe some of y'all can help :)

Anyone out there in Phase 2? I'm coming up on going from induction to Phase 2 and was wondering what everyone is eating? I stayed in induction for a month, thinking I will probably be in OWL for a LONG time :)

    I've been in OWL for awhile. I eat meat, of course but also nuts and one slice of low carb wheat bread a day. Healthy Life has 5 net carbs per slice. I love fettuccini Alfredo but the fettuccini is off limits so I make a homemade sauce and add chicken and broccoli. YUMMY!! For something sweet, I will eat Sweet Freedom ice-cream bars. Or my favorite is 4-5 strawberries sliced thin, splenda and heavy cream! Love it! Just learned to make low carb broccoli soup. Figure out what you like then google to see if there is a low carb version of it! There is a low carb version of almost everything!

    I don't strictly follow the Atkins diet (altough I started out pure Atkins and stayed at 'induction' level <20g for about 8 months). My diet now is much more like OWL Phase 2. here is some good info on OWL

    I stick to under 50g net now and although I still have about 80lbs to loose I feel less restricted and able to stick with this until I am at goal.

    Be creative with your foods and recipes and be sure to mixx things up otherwise boredome will set in. Keep an eye on the 'whats on your menu today' thread for inspiration and the FAQ sticky thread for links to great recipe sites.
