Thinking back to the crazy ways I used to try and lose weight= actual LOL (Don't judge me)
I mean before I knew low carb and exercise was the way for me I tried some crazy things..
Soup diet?
Apple diet? Would eat one meal a day and the rest would be apples. WTF
Cereal diet? Cereal for breakfast and lunch. Chocolate crunch of all cereals!
Hindsight is a wonderful thing..
If only I knew then to eat when I was hungry, eat lots of protein, not so much carbs and lots of water and exercise..
Anyone else any crazy diets? Or what didn't work for you before low carb?

orlistat (px diet pill)
Reductil (px diet pill)
Hypnosis
cabbage soup diet
veggie diet
green tea capsules

the special K diet
The 6 small meals a day diet
And I considered bariatric surgery too (0 -
Scotch, nicotine and a lot of walking.
It worked fine, I was as thin as a rake, abs a-plenty and felt like death.
Then there was the living-in-a-flat-on-my-own-no-cooking-skills 'spicy pot noodle' years. That worked too.
Crazy days.0 -
I've tried eat for your blood type - but that meant giving up too many foods.
I've done the Xenedrine thing which kept me a buzz & active but gained excessive weight because I stop taking it.
I tried Herbalife which go to be too expensive, The shake were bland and if I didn't have something planned to eat within the 2-3 hr time span I felt famished & the green tea supplement made me feel wired, like I was drowzy but jittery at the same time even w/the smallest dose.
I tried the low carb yo-yo diet where you get through the induction phase then stay low carb M-F but on the wekends it's a free-for-all.
I've done the one meal a day diet where I ate 1 huge meal for the entire day whenever I was the hungriest.
I've even been on what I call the so pissed diet where I was so pissed off I didn't have an appetite so I didn't eat.
So, I'm with you when you talk about hind sight, I was a fool when it came to my health. Thank God I get a chance to do something about it!0 -
T5 diet...Lost a load of weight before realizing I was high as a kite ha
Slimfast
Meal replacement bars
When you think about it the diet industry must be worth millions! Well I am glad we all here have seen the light, I guess there are people out there who carry on these fads for a lifetime.0 -

Cant go wrong with the odd pot noodle, especially the day after a big night out
Ive done heaps of stupid diets - soup diets, diet pills, shakes, fasting. It got so bad at one point that I ended up with an eating disorder for a few years.
After that I had to relearn how to eat properly. Now when I see all these people doing fad diets I think they are so silly, but then I was in the same position once so I cant judge too much!
Ultimately its not a quick fix you have to put some effort into loosing weight, thats what I think a lot of people struggle with.0 -

Way to go on beating your demons.
It's a true saying that "nothing worth doing isn't easy"..
And being healthy, fit and body confident is hard work yes but so worth it..0 -
cabbage soup, jenny craig (which worked until I plateaued and got bored, plus was friggin expensive!!), slim fast (which is all sugar?! besides made me gassy as hell), yuck. I counted carbs before and limited myself to 150, but still ate junk - like, I'd skip the fruit so I could have a hot dog WITH the bun for dinner?! WTH haha. Then did the "healthy" whole grains (eyeroll).0

The first time I went low-carb (bout 10 years ago) I did the same thing! I would live off hotdogs, bacon, eggs, cheese and diet Sierra Mist. Sucked that I lost so much weight the first time, none the second time, and now I'm doing healthy (mostly) low-carb.
I've tried everything too near about--Xenadrine, HCG, cabbage soup, grapefruit, fasting, cleansing, yada yada yada.0
