Finding some balance.

I decided yesterday to set some 30 days goals to help regain some balance in my life, holistically - I'm hoping sharing and logging will help me feel accountable and give me a sense of accomplishment. Here goes!

1) Start weighing weekly. I've reached my target weight and really want to shift my focus to my yoga practice and healthy living generally, as opposed to be a bit obsessive about not regaining weight. I got into a bad habit of daily weighing, and I'd like to loosen up a bit!

2) 30 day alcohol fast - just to prove I can. I'm a habitual glass of wine a night girl, which is not great health wise, plus I want to prove I am the'master of my habits, not slave to my cravings'.

3) 30 day non-essential items consumption fast. I've done this before - very liberating and good for the pocket. Can be a bit of a thrift store comfort shopper. Not this month!

So I've completed day one of 2 and 3, but will confess to visiting the scales this morning. Will now put them in a cupboard until next tuesday. Do befriend me if you're a good encourager and / or have some goals you'd like some cheerleading support with.

Anyone else with some wintery goals?

Have a lovely day all, Abi

For my 500 hour yoga teacher training, I have to do an assigned daily practice - I have a sequence to do 6 days a week. My goal is to get though it without too much complaining.

I like that! I live in a house that's a building project and am halfway through a 6 year part time degree - I KNOW its my attitude that makes the experience positive or painful, but that's not always enough to shape my approach. So this inspires me, and I applaud your efforts to stay positive. When its harder.... my mantra is anyone can do any unappealing job for 15 minutes a day! (It got me through my driving theory and phonetics prep!).
