Quinoa

What's up with quinoa? It is a seed technically, and Mark Sisson mentions it being ok in the Primal Blueprint.
Is anyone ingesting this now? It feels so much like a grain I don't want it to create cravings for other grains.

If you think it will create cravings, avoid it.
If you think you can enjoy a serving and move on, eat it.
I haven't had any quinoa since I went Primal, and I wouldn't go out of my way to make it. But if someone was serving it to me, I'd enjoy it.0 -
While it IS a seed and therefore 'primal', it still has a nutritional profile much the same as rice. So it basically depends on why you are eating Primal. If you are losing weight, then I'd avoid it; if you are in maintenance, I'd put it in the 'occasional' category.0

Thanks, I've still got a few pounds to lose, so I will pass on it. I found a recipe that looks yummy and that my kids will like. I think I'll make it for them and perhaps try a teeny bit. Just that once0

I have it occasionally, as an accompaniment to a winter stew or tagine or something. But not often.0
