30 Day Shred, Jogging, Dance Trance and KatMoJam. It's gonna be intense!

For those who want to learn more about Dance Trance or KatMoJam, both of which I highly recommend, here are some links:

Dance Trance (locations nationwide, and it's the reason I've lost 40 pounds this year): http://dancetrancefitness.com/
KatMoJam: http://www.katmojam.com/ (It's based in NY, but she has videos).
  • I just joined LA Fitness about a week ago so I will be attending group classes atleast 4 times a week. Maybe a little walking too

  • I started the 30ds today..... It was hard going IMHO my legs still feel like jelly. I dread to think how I'm gonna feel in the morning or even worse on day 3. Not sure how long I'm gonna be able to stick the running commentary may have to stick my own tunes on.... Well they say no pain no gain...
Has anyone done this...... I have got Insanity but thought I would start small

I am going to do Couch to 5k :) There is a 5k race in my town called the Resolution Run on New Year's Eve that I want to do with my boyfriend. I may skip to week three of C25k (that's where the real challenge starts for me anyway)

And I am also doing 30 Day Shred for the second time, but with 5 pound weights instead of 3. I haven't been able to do it every day with all the projects due with class.. but I am determined to do it a couple times a week at least :) Get some weight training in

30 day shred, lots of zumba, and bikram yoga. I need to bump that up to 3 times a week, I currently go twice. I feel so good after. I haven't been in 2 weeks and my body is so sore, it needs it so bad, and I can't go until Thursday.

I use the treadmill too, to walk and run, but only if I haven't done zumba or yoga that day.

I've gotten hooked on spin class again at the gym, so 3x spin classes a week.

Plus Im going to do C25K three mornings a week before work. I also want to get serious about weights when Im at the gym (not necessarily on spin days, but Ill see how it goes). I want to not be afraid of going to the weights part of the gym!!

I really do not enjoy working out, I get to about day 3 and say forget this mess. However, I will be starting the C25K during this and hopefully getting some Jillian workouts in on my days off. I will have to keep changing it up though, I get bored very easily when it comes down to doing the same workout over and over.

Just really hoping to start to get 30 mins of activity in every day from now till NYE.

today I did day 3 of the 30DS and in a week or so I'll be combining that with Shaun T's Dr Oz 15 minute routine. I'd love to do Insanity but I don't have the DVDs. I need to get those. I've heard great things about it. Also, I'm hoping to fix our double stroller so I can go on some walks. We have some great hills around here that would really be great for walking (and maybe running one day).

I plan on training for my upcoming half marathon by running, doing zumba, strength training with free weights, and throw in a bit of the elliptical. Always looking for new and fun workouts though!

30-45 minutes of high-intensity cardio or 5k training 4-5 times a week, 30-45 mins of strength training splits 3-4 days a week

Some Spin classes and maybe a yoga class or two will be thrown in there as well, as they fit into my schedule!
