hi, i am new to myfitnesspal.com. I have fibro and about 30 pounds i need to lose. I used to work out every weekday for at least one hour and a half, till i became pregnant and had my child. my body has never been the same, i am in pain all the time. I just did 20 minutes in my excercycle, five minutes ago, and i am already limping. my hips are killing me. the pain IS real, and it's not the good muscle-burning kind of pain (i wish it was that one) it's the hit-by-a-truck kinda deal that no painkiller can mitigate, so it's hard to work out through it. every time i ask a doctor about strategies or things i could do they all go pontius pilate on me. all suggestions are welcome. :)

Fibro can be frustrating with exercise. The funny thing (or cruel) is that the best way I have found to fight fibro is to work out more and be more active. Believe me -- it is sooo hard when you are in pain. Take is slow, do what you can BUT DO NOT STOP. Great you did the 20 minutes today (or November) but make sure you do it tomorrow and the next day. I am not gonna lie, it is going to be horrible and you will think that you are getting worse. But suddenly one time you will finish and think, "wait a minute. I actually feel normal." I have gotten much better. But I have still have my days where I get angry. But usually they come have bouts of poor exercise, diet, sleep, and extra stress. The best thing you can do to mitigate is keep fighting and pushing harder until normal life isn't as painful every day.
