So I have met my goal weight and I am now stretching that goal weight a by another 15 lbs - but not trying to lose it quickly. I hear everyone around me saying not to lose more. You look great. I am 5' 10" 175ish lbs size 10. I know I can't go on losing weight, but at what point do I say to myself stop you are good you no longer have to feel like you've go to lose weight. I have spent my entire life knowing I have to lose weight, and I am not sure how to curb those feelings. Anyone else know what I mean or am I just crazy??? :noway:

I know what you mean about going through life "needing to lose weight" I am at the beginning of my journey so can't really relate to where you are at. I think if you just relax, & lose more (the 15) you will know during the time that it takes whether it needs to be 15,10 or maybe just 5. Only you will be the final judge of where you feel most comfortable in your own skin. Are you doing everything you could not do previously (with the weight)? I have a bucket list of things that the weight prevents me from doing and I am also using that as a measurement of where I am. I am sure with such a tremendous weight loss, our views will be a little skewed as to our body images. Much like when the weight was on only now at the other end of the spectrum. Congratulations on your spectacular loss and making your goal !!0

You are not crazy - even tho' I am about 2/3rds of the way - I think about how will I know I have hit the magic number. I think it will be when my weight loss is not sustainable and easy to do. If I hit a number and it is so hard to stay there - will know I have gone to far. Now is that the secret won't know for at least another 30 -40 pounds... But if you find the answer - I will be happy to hear it. Congrats on your awesome achievement too. You should be so very proud and happy....0

I'm 4 years out and still feel that way some days. MOST days I am good with where I am. It's an ongoing process, but for me it has gotten easier to be content with where I am as the years go by.
Remember people are used to seeing you overweight, so when they tell you you're too thin they're most likely just comparing you to the old you. Unless your BMI is under 18, I would not give those comment any thought. Those comments do eventually stop as people get used to you at your new size.0
