See if you can find a youtube video of the course. Some crazy nuts wear a camera while doing Warrior dash. LOL! You'll get an idea of the terrain. I am slightly considering doing the one near me next summer. My plan is to be doing runs in the forest to get use to soft/slippery ground conditions (my fear of falling/spraining/breaking something is quite intense). I'm also going to have to practice low crawling. I think my kids will have fun with that one! LOL!!!

Have fun! I have several friends/family members who have done this race, and they swear that they will never miss another one. LOL. I just think they are nuts! But then again, so am I.

I just looked at the website, are you doing the one next August? If so, right now I would do as much cardio as you can. Even short runs of 20-30 minutes all winter has to be better than nothing, so that you can be ready by spring to actually "train" for it. Do what ever cardio you can

You can get some specific "training ideas" if you go to the warrior dash webisite and click: Info> Training> Warrior Types> Virgin Warrior.

Note: "Training Ideas" was in quotes because the website is a bit vauge... but the intro to each warrior type is awesome, so it is a must read. LOL

AH! I completely understand! I've finally gotten my youngest to the age where I can leave them both home for the 30-40 minutes that I run around the neighborhood. :)

Do strength training and cardio in your house for now. See if you have anyone that you can borrow a running stroller from, and then start building your walks/runs. :) If not, it will be a little bit more difficult, but maybe once a week or so you can get a babysitter so you can slowly start working on c25k? It will take you a lot longer, but I'd think it would be doable.

Good Luck! You have plenty of time... you'll do great!
