Hello all! I've been struggling with motivation for the last month but before that i was doing great. I have some new found motivation. My A1C at my Dr. appt last week was 6.8 down from 8.3! My Dr. was very happy. Now i'm just working on reducing my carbs.

It is great that your A1C number dropped. I have to make an appointment soon to see how my numbers are. I had trouble with meds and was put on Lantus. When I retired, my daily numbers were so low that I was afraid to take daytime meds until later in the day. I quit taking the Lanus. I hate needles. I will have to explain it to my doctor a d get the lecture.

Motivation can slip down when you think about the holidays and the comfort foods. Also it may be the idea that you have lost some weight and don't want to go the opposite direction. You can do this! Good luck.

I found a good book on diabetes burnout. Explains why we get it and what you can do to overcome it. May help with motivation. Book is called "Diabetes Burnout" by Polonsky.
