I like how you ladies posted topics by weeks. Guess I'll start this one. Just done my first official workout. 405 calories burned! Not a bad haul! I look forward to eating well and working out! I'm even going to reward myself with t-shirts with some of my "mantras" on them! Have a good workout ladies!

I did Back and Chest today. My core is sore and my shoulders already. lol This workout makes me sore big time! But it's a good sore not the oh my goodness I don't want to move anymore for a week kind so all is good. lol

Hi, I'm Christel. I'm in my 3rd week of the TF Prep schedule but I'm itching to do more and may forgoe the prep and just jump into the regular TF schedule. I did 7 weeks of P90X last spring, then summer started and I got lazy. I really love the dancey part of TF and hoping to actually finish this program.
I just pressed play on Fire 45 EZ and Stretch 10. I pushed through and the 45 minutes just flew! Thanks for letting me sound off! Have a great day everyone!0 -
Welcome Christel! I didn't do the prep week either but I was doing Chalean Extreme before I got TF anyways so I didn't feel like a beginner. I just say press play and go at your own speed. It is what I did and before you know it you will be able to do 45 ez like it is easy hehe.0

Hi Ladies, Just wanted to see who all was pushing play. Not me sad to say. I desided to take a week off. I was busy on t-day and went black friday shopping and while I love it, I am pooped. I hate that they started it early this year, I was up at midnight and never went to bed till friday night at 10pm. Sucked big time. I was so tired I just didn't workout. To top it off my kids are sick. We had turkey with my father in law thurs, dinner at mother in laws friday, and my moms on sun. I feel so fat and I did eat really good and even stayed under in cals. I weighed myself this morning and while no loss :grumble: so tired of it. *sigh*, at least i didn't gain. Alright, alright, I am getting off my pity pot. I will be starting week 15 on friday and will be ready to kick butt!!!! Working out is such a de-stresser and time just for me, I so miss it. Keep sweating for me and be ready for me to join you on friday. :laugh: LOL0

Thanks for the welcome! I appreciate it. I'm going to start Week 1 of the regular TF next week and just finish off Week 3 prep this week. I surprised myself and I'm a little more fit than I thought.0

I don't know what you mean Vini? I had planned on doing tf and extreme but I decided to do p90x with my hubby. I was never going to do just p90x. I planned on doing the tf hybrid all along. I love lifting weights way better then I love cardio. My hubby does the whole p90x program. He told me to try Kempis but. Just don't want to do a 60 minute cardio workout. Lol i could lift weights all day but cardio is just brutal for me. That's why I pushed so hard during tf. I loved it but the longer ones were such a chore for me. I love short and hard. I am going to mix in a HIIT every week probably on sat. That's the day I hate working out the most so if its short I won't mind it so much.0

Hi guys, just a quick update from me today: I won't be working out for the next 2 weeks- doctor's orders. This might be TMI, so just warning you: My hubby and I have been trying to start a family for the past couple of years, and today we did our first round of IUI. The doctor told me that the only exercise I can do is walking for the next 2 weeks... so TF week 11, here I go again.... in a couple of weeks... unless I end up pregnant... which is fine by me Wish us luck!!0

Melzy, that's what I thought I was just making sure you didn't change your mind about doing just P90X. I think you would really like Kempo it's not to bad alot like TF in the sense of kickboxing. So if you ever feel the need to do a long one try it. LOL
Preshusgem, Girl you need a nickname. I didn't want to mis spell your real name (in case you haven't noticed I am a horrable speller) and I had to keep scrolling up and down to check that I spelled your user name right so evryone knew who i was talking to. I did the prep schudle too. Just to see how it looked and how it would go. I have never been the type to just jump in. I think you will be happy you did. I also think you'll do great.
Lucy, I hear you and just so you know you can do a Fire 30 and you can do the tone 30 and sculpt 30's just to help be ready for when the dvds do come. I hope soon.
ck, I am doing the 20 weeker and what I wouldn't give to do a short workout again. LOL Enjoy every min.

Vini, did you do all 8 weeks of the Prep schedule? Should I continue on with the prep schedule. I'm in Week 3 of prep. I want to lose 50 pounds. I wonder if I"m just rushing it to the regular class schedule. Anyway, did you find that the
prep schedule help you out for the regular classes?

Morning ladies! Glad to hear about trying for a family Jeni! My hubby & I will have to wait 18 months or so: deployment. So it's a great time for me to get in the best shape possible. I do it for me but I do it for a family too. I'm pulling for you!
I just finished HIIT 15/Stretch 10. It was quick and fun. I just need to get more water in. Headaches from dehydration are no fun.

Good morning ladies!
Just finished Tone 30/Stretch 10. I was sweating waterfalls doing the shoulders/arms workout with the bands. My sharms were on fire! Chalene kept saying, "Don't cheat...you'll just be cheating yourself" and that is my takeaway for the day.
Since I started logging in my food diary (3 days now), I have been making better food choices. What a difference it makes to write or type that all down.

Hey everyone. I did Fire 45 today. My arms are still tired from all the push ups and pull ups from yesterday but I did most of the arm movements. I got really hot too not sure why. I had to take a cold shower and I never have to do that. Odd lol
Jeni --- I prayed for the eggs to attach and make babies! I hope it works. I didn't have a problem getting pregnant ever and I always feel for those who do.
Vini-- oh ok you confused me! I am sticking with P90X/TF Hybrid for now. I kind of made my own since they wanted you to do a too hard of a schedule. I was like yeah I am not doing that much cardio. lol 45 min is my limit. =D
Christel --- good job on not giving up. You have to go hard if you want change. Train like a beast to look like a beauty.
CK--- I love HIIT 15. I always feel so good after that one. It is give it your all for 15 min and you are done. love short, sweet and hard workouts. =D0 -
LOL, Thanks Stel, I did 5 weeks and I felt like I was ready at that point. I still had to mod a little but in all I felt better that I did the prep. or a least part of it. I have a lot to lose but i am such a slow loser, I do lose inches though so better then nothing. I felt like the prep got me ready for what was coming and I was able to do the classes without the frist time to class part. I also noticed that I wasn't as sore once I started. They start the HIIt classes in week 6 so I missed them but you sometimes just got to push through. Just do what you think is best for you., If you feel ready just do it.
Melzy, I am going to have to look into the p90x / TF hybrid, come Jan I'll be switching it up. I thought I was going to do CLX and TF Janelle style but now I am not to sure
I am going to do my core 20 and stretch 40 on wed then back at it with Fire 60 and Abs 10 on thurs. I do believe my Abs will be sore =D Keep pushing play ladies!0 -

Good morning ladies. REst day today and I don't feel like resting. Will 45 min on the elliptical (slow) be considered rest?0 -
Also, I lost just a little over 2.5 pounds since Sunday when I logged on and started tracking my food. Is that normal or just water weight?0

It might be normal, or it might be water. I'd say give it a few days to see if you gain it back again. I juggled 2-3 lbs of water weight for a couple of weeks when I first started.0

I always had about 3 pounds of water weight up and down during you know...TOM. But the good thing now is that as I've worked out and stayed hydrated, my weight has been more consistent. Some months the water retention doesn't happen! I track every pound myself. Speaking of which, I've got my weigh-in for Weight Watchers tomorrow. The battery in my scale needs replacing (can someone say "get an old fashioned one? lol), so I have no clue what the progress is. No matter the numbers, I feel really good about what I've done.

Question: what's your daily caloric intake for Turbo Fire?
I calculated mine and it's supposed to be about 1500. I currently have MFP set at 1240 as recommended by them. With these weeks with HIIT training, I've been hella hungry! I might have to increase it.0 -

Math & I are not good friends so this is what I got when I calculated my calorie target for TF should be 2047 and on MFP, it is 1250. It's such a huge gap btwn the 2. Since I have been tracking on this food diary, I have always had calories leftover at the end of the day, which surprises me because I thought the 1250 was a really low amount. Good luck on your weigh in tomorrow!
I did not press Play today and just did today as my Rest day instead. No elliptical either. Time flew today. I'm going to bed earlier today so I can get up to press play before the kids get up for school. Yeah, I've been saying that forever, but I love to sleep.

Just finished Fire 30. 3 things I need to work on are:
1. Prepping the night before: jigsaw mat set up, clothes, shoes, hr monitor, towel and water next to it.
2. Getting to bed early enough so when I work out, I don't feel too tired and rushed.
3. Keeping my reason's for fitness in my face and with me to go over. Days like these make me stay in bed when there's no motivation that comes to mind.

I was able to get Fire 30 & Stretch 10 in at 8:00am today, earlier than my usual. Trying hard to work towards a 5:00am start time. I saw that tomorrow is supposed to be Stretch 40 (Week 3 prep) and that's just a little too much stretching. I'm anxious to do a little more. Shouldn't stretching be done once a week like in P90x?
I also know that I'm not supposed to weigh myself everyday, but I was another pound down this morning. I won't check in my weight until Sunday then I'll log it in then.
I'm attending a meet and greet tonight and I'm hoping that I don't end up drinking away the rest of my calories. Uh oh!

I didn't workout yesterday. I was dealing with a stomach bug for the past 3 days and I took my DOR yesterday. Today though I brought it big time with Shoulders and Arms. OW is all I can say. I did the extended version cause I was like hey I feel good. HARD but it feels good to workout hard. I will look over and answer questions later when I am not all hot and sweaty!0

CK, when I started TF I tried the 1200 calorie per day thing, and I was soo hungry.... and I stopped losing weight. I bumped it up to 1600-1700, and I lose about 1-2 lbs per week. If you want a pretty accurate estimation of how much you should be eating, you can check out :
