You should eat more then 1200 calories per day. Expecially if you are doing TF. I sometimes put my calories on 1200 then eat my exercise calories. It usually ends up being around 1600 to 1800. That way you don't have to do math.
I have a heart rate monitor though and I can see how many calories I burn. This way only works if you do have a HRM. There are a lot of calorie deficit calculators out there on the internet so you don't have to do math for that either. Also losing 2.5 lbs is a good start. You should lose about 1-2 lbs a week. I can't answer on the water weight thing. I know that peoples weight bluctuates from day to day but I am not sure if the water weight thing is accurate or a myth. A lot of things out there are myths. Like the clean eating thing. I am not going to eat clean 100% of my life for the rest of my life. I base my calories on what I burn. If I am super hungry then I eat more veggies and fiber. If I am not then I eat more fats. I lose weight regardless of what I eat. It's simple math. Now is eating junk good for you? No but if you eat 1800 calories of twinkies (RIP) or 1800 calories of fresh foods you will lose on both. You will feel better if you eat fresh foods and have more energy but that's the difference. It isn't because twinkies are bad for you and the veggies are better for you. You lose weight because of math. Eat less calories then you burn and you will lose.
Also there is no you have to eat 5 meals a day. You have to eat breakfast. etc. I do not eat breakfast. I only eat 3 meals a day. I lose weight still! I do lose slower then most people but I have excepted that and can live with it. Sometimes I eat breakfast but it's rare. I have been this way since I can remember. I don't get hungry at night and if I do then I will eat. I have even eaten as late as 12 am and not gained an oz.
I say all this to conclude with... You are losing weight do what you are doing til it doesn't work. Then maybe change something else. Our bodies learn to adapt and that is why what you have been doing for 6 months has suddenly stopped working. Also do not give up this is a life style not a diet. I have made changes that I can live with in my life. If you don't think you can exercise for 6 days a week for the rest of your life adjust it. I want to strive for that but some weeks it is just impossible to get 6 days in. I want at 4. but I tell myself 6.
I also take planned diet breaks. a week or 2 off from exercise and caloric deficit. This has worked for me. if you find yourself stalling then you could try that. It works for me every time.

Wow busy busy ladies.... I don't think I have ever had to go to page 2 before. LOL It's not a bad thing. I worked out today, I did fire 60 and stretch 10. I loved it and it sucked all in one. :laugh: I was wooped but it felt so good to be working out again and I didn't even take that long of a break. I only have a few things to say, as if i could ever do that.
I just want to touch on the motivation thing. CK and that is I have a wall in my workout room that has the tatoo I want, pic of victoria secret skinny girls, a pic of a dress I want, a old pic of me skinny and Turbo fire pic s of girls who are working out, they were in my turbo fire cal book before I found this site. It really helps me to push harder when I am working out. My other is a small one in my bathroom, I figured I had to get up to go pee at some point and would see it and want to workout. Both of them hang on my doors so really only I see them.
Stel, I do the stretchs but that is me. I like to work some of my sorness out and I have found, in the past, that I can do better kicks and move better the next day if I stretch. I do sometimes skip the stretch 10 if I feel like she has stretched us enough at the end of the workout or if I am feeling good. I never skip Stretch 40. it short and I like it better the yoga X. That's just me.
Glad to see you pushing it Melzy and that you are feelin better. Keep it up. I am glad you are enjoying P90X, it's sometimes nice just to swith it up.
I have two new goals for myself one is to drink a gallon of water everyday and the other is to bump up my sleep. I am doing pretty good. I am a night owl and when I have the house to myself when everybody is in bed I just have a hard time going to bed myself. I do also have a harder time getting up in the mornings. So to bed earlier for me. Fire 45 ez and lower 20 for me tomro. Go get it ladies!!!!!!0 -

Stel, I understand where you're coming from with the stretching. Today though I definitely needed that rotater cuff stretch!

My Weight Watchers meeting went well: I weighed the same after working hard not to gain during the holiday! I wanted a loss, but I don't have to "re-lose" any weight so that's great too! Tomorrow is 55EZ: Who's house? My house! Looking forward to it! Gotta get ready for it tonight!0 -
Whoo! Good morning ladies! I'm done with 55 EZ and I feel great! I feel like the sun is shining even though it looks like 2 AM! I'm gonna take some of this Shakeology while I'm in that recovery window now. Bonus: 525 calories burned!

Pushed play today, it feels so good to be back. I did fire 45 ez and lower 20. Man that workout burns my buns. lol love it. Fire 45 ez is another fav. I love when she says "keep up the engery only it you need to burn calories that is". she also says in the stretch "I got sweat dripping of my nose", cracks me up cause I do too. Keep up the good work ladies.0

Fire 55 EZ done today, a lot later than my usual work out time, but at least I pressed "play" instead of continueing on my junk food binge. I sorta blame it on my one (1) martini I had last night. I couldn't believe my 1 martini had more calories in it than my meal. I met a lady who inspires me....she's 46 but looks and acts like she in her late 20's, early 30's. She used to be a size 22 and now wears a size 8 and she's striving for a size 6. She is a Zumba fanatic and also does cardio kick boxing and pilates. My martini wasn't all that. It was a watermelon martini....it was too sweet and tasted like watermelon jolly ranchers. Nothing like a fresh watermelon martini that I had over the summer. Anyway,have a great weekend ladies!

Ladies! It's another wonderful chilly morning in Chi-town and I just finished Fire 30/Stretch 10. Burned 412 cals (nice!). Today I grocery shop. I consider it my re-start day for food - a time to better plan meals and buy better foods. Well gotta get that recovery drink going and get ready to plan & shop! Have a great weekend!0

I did not workout yesterday. I had a migraine and it was a bad one. Feel better today just half a migraine so I did Legs and Back. This one hurts so bad!!!! lol But it kicks the calories. whooot. Nice to see everyone working hard on our goals!
I intend to do HIIT 15 tomorrow to get in an extra workout since I missed 2 days this week.
zMy HRM is Polar FT4. love it. I got it for my birthday and have had it for 3 weeks now.
CK-- love that song on 55 ez. I always sing it when I do that one. I don't do it often though lol Good going on the not gaining. Sometimes when you are sore you will put on weight or stay the same because your muscles keep water in them to help heal. It's probably why I lose less when I weight train but I don't care I just want to look and feel better. Don't care how much I weight if I can wear a size 8! Im at a size 12 now down from 16 yay! Oh yeah another thing... I am hungry too sometimes when I start something new. I usually just ignore it if I feel like I have eaten enough. Sometimes you just have to be hungry until your body gets use to less calories. It will go away I promise.0 -
Hi Gals, dosn't that sound southern, (not knocking on those from the south I just never lived there). LOL I didn't workout today.
We had a birthday party to go to and I didn't have time as my hubby wasn't home to help. I am really happy someone worked out. I forget what my HMR was, it broke and I haven't gotten a new one yet. It's on my christmas list.
Thanks for the tip Melzy, I haven't been losing and I am so tired of weighing the same. I weighed 214 when I started on here and that was cause I gained 2 lbs after I had lost 10lbs. No idea why i gained but I wasn't watching it and when I got on........well here I am. I have been trying to lose just 1lb. I would be so happy to stop seeing the same number. I desided I am going to change it up again and not eat back my cals from excerise. Hope the change works. I agree on the look great but weigh whatever. I just want to like to look in the mirror, and wear my old clothes again. My hubby keeps telling me they are dry rotted cause I haven't worn them in so long and will have to buy new anyway. You know the funny thing is what I can't wear is whats in style now. It was the fashion when I was in school and when my mom went to school. I even have some of her clothes. Ugh, THOSE however might be dry rotted. LOL Have a great night ladies!0 -
PS. When I frist got TF and watched the intro dvd, my kids watched it with me. They love that song. They always say "mommy play the whos house song". LOL, it's so cute, they really shake their butts too. My youngest can't shake his all that good so he will put his hands on the floor and stick his butt out and shake his butt like a dog. I laugh everytime. They sing the words too. Maybe someday they will workout with me to it.0

Sorry you aren't losing Vini. =/ It sucks but I have been there also just didn't give up. I have lost fat because I lose inches. I am stronger and I have more energy. It's why I stopped weighing myself because I hate the number. lol Oh BTW I have lost another inch off my tummy and I weighed myself this AM and gained 7 lbs. SEEE the number doesn't matter. I told that number to go hell in my mind and went and did my HIIT 20 today. lol I threw in an ab workout also. Feels great too. So pfft to that number on the scale it just aint right. The last time I weighed 170 I was wearing size 16! I am in 12's and I have to wear a belt with them too. Don't let the scale number get you down just keep going. Eventually stuff will change. I promise.0

Lol Vini if you want to sound southern it would be Hey Y'all! Born, grew up and still am southern. I don't say fixin though my family does. Not sure why but I just don't. I do leave the g's off the end of plenty of my words. Bad habit and I hate it but we are all works in progress :laugh:0

Hey guys, just checking in
I've got another week to go before I find out whether or not my IUI worked, so I have at least one more week off from TF. If I don't end up pregnant, I'll be back at it around the 10th. Then I can work out for 2 weeks before I take another 2 weeks off again. So far I haven't gained any weight back, but not doing any sort of workout is KILLING me. I'm so antsy!!
