Just starting out!

Hey everyone! I'm Amanda. I've been really successful on MFP, losing over 20 lbs over the course of 6 months early this spring through a 1200-1300 calorie diet and tons of cardio.

Unfortunately, I fell off the wagon for a few months and gained back a decent chunk... so I came back and tried the whole 1200 cal thing again. It's just too little to work with, especially paired with a good deal of cardio 4-5 days a week. A person on my friends list mentioned the concept of EM2WL and the merits of strength training, so I figured I'd give it a go!

Ideally, I'd love to get down to 118 lbs (I'm about 124 now...starting weight was 144 last December). But I don't want to do it by starving myself and feeling weak and exhausted and HUNGRY. So I am going to give this a try for a few months.

I did my measurements yesterday before committing to this idea, so I'll post them here for reference:

SW: 124
GW: 118

Neck: 11.5"
Chest (mid-boob): 29"
Waist at smallest point: 27.5"
Hips: 35"
Upper Arm: 10"
Thigh: 19"

Bodyfat (Fat2Fit Military Calculation): 24.5% (I'm so close to the FITNESS category, I can barely stand it!!!)

Always looking for friends with similar goals, so feel free to friend me. I think I'm gonna need support while getting used to this new concept of food intake! I've also taken up strength training and am currently reading NROLFW and investigating Stronglifts 5x5. Inches are more important than scale weight at this point, and I just want to look and feel healthy and strong! :)
