Weight Accountability Log - Week 11

HI All,

Looks like we missed Thanksgiving week.... My weight didn't change that week but it finally did this week!

(Wednesday 9/12/12 - 147.0 FIRST WEIGH-IN FOR REFERENCE)
Wednesday 11/14/12 - 143.4 lbs (0.9 lb loss from the previous weigh-in on 11/7)
Wednesday 11/21/12 - 143.4 lbs (no change)
Wednesday 11/28/12 - 139.8 lbs (3.6 lb loss from previous week)

Yes, folks, I have FINALLY seen a decent dip in the scale. It is extremely nice to get a peek at the 130s. Hopefully I will continue to see more of them from now on. Looks like the extra hard workout week (4505 calories burned) and the new severe carb restrictive diet has helped, at least, jump-start me. As you may recall, I have recently revised my Ultra Challenge end goal from 127 to 136 lbs (which is the "healthy" BMI line for my age/height/gender). There are two remaining weeks to this challenge. Hopefully I can get there. (Especially considering thay my birthday falls in there!) That's about 4 more pounds in two weeks... Ideally, I would like to see the KB scale reach that number on the final weigh-in. It has always weighed heavier than my home scale: last night I weighed in at 143.0 on the KB scale (a 2.5 lb loss from last week). So to reach my goal, I will need to achieve a 6 pound loss within the next two weeks, a very tall order. We'll see... today, I am just thrilled to see a decent loss on the scale! Amen!!

cheers,
Heather

    Fellow challengers,

First of all, kudos to Heather for finally getting that #@%&! scale to start reading lower numbers. Welcome to the 130s, Slim!

    Here's the progress so far:

    Tuesday 9/11/2012: weight = 177.0 lb
Tuesday 9/18/2012: weight = 174.2 lb, 2.8 lb lost since beginning of Ultra Challenge
Tuesday 9/25/2012: weight = 171.6 lb, 5.4 lb lost since beginning of Ultra Challenge
Monday 10/1/2012: weight = 168.0 lb, 9.0 lb lost since beginning of Ultra Challenge
Tuesday 10/9/2012: weight = 168.6 lb (brief setback due to my gimpy right foot)
Tuesday 10/16/2012: weight = 167.5 lb, 9.5 lb lost since beginning of Ultra Challenge
Monday 10/22/2012: weight = 166.9 lb, 10.1 lb lost since beginning of Ultra Challenge
Monday 10/29/2012: weight = 163.3 lb, 13.7 lb lost since beginning of Ultra Challenge
Monday 11/6/2012: weight = 165.9 lb (went up 2.6 lb, darn it!), 11.1 lb lost since beginning of Ultra Challenge
Monday 11/13/2012: weight = 165.3 lb, 11.7 lb lost since beginning of Ultra Challenge
Tuesday 11/28/2012, weight = 163.7, 13.3 lb lost since beginning of Ultra Challenge

I still have 1.1 lb to go to reach my goal of 162.6 lb. That will represent a net 50 lbs. lost since the beginning of the first 90-day challenge in February, when I weighed a now-inconceivable-to-me 212.6 lb. That goal *is* within reach, and I *will* get there!

As I look back on the process, I'm reminded of a lyric from the Grateful Dead's "Truckin'":

    Sometimes the light's all shinin' on me;
Other times I can barely see.
    Lately it occurs to me
What a long, strange trip it's been.

Thank you all for your support along this savage journey!

    Cheers,
    Roger
