Here is the recipe I used, except I did not have any fennel seeds. I burned the bottom of the pizzas the first time I made them, so be carful not to place them too low in your oven. I swear I couldn't tell I was eating cauliflower. It's a litttle messier because it's not as stiff as bread crust, but it definitely serves as the best replacement. Even my hubby couldn't tell it was cauliflower.

1. Are you paleo/primal or primal? Primal.
2. How long have you been paleo/primal? Since January, beginning of this year. Haven't looked back since.
3. How did you first hear about paleo/primal? I hated eating gluten-free sore products (taste like *kitten*), so I was searching for recipes I could make on my own. Stumbled across the word "Paleo" every now and then and decided to look into it. Sure enough, I found The Primal Blueprint and MDA, and here I am.
4. What’s your favorite thing about being paleo/primal? The creativity - having variety and challenge in recipes; taking something sad, grain-infested and part of typical SAD and making it awesome. Also, interacting with all the (mostly) level-headed and awesome Paleo/Primal people.
5. What annoys you most about being paleo/primal? Being asked if I'm on a "low carb diet". Paleo/Primal is not low carb - can't stress that enough; carbs are awesome, so is protein and fat. It's the source of the macro that governs whether it's "bad" or not.
6. What was the biggest SAD/conventional wisdom “shock” to you when converting to paleo/primal? Hm. Can't say the "fat is good" thing was a surprise, since this time last year I couldn't identify a carb from a protein (had no nutritional knowledge whatsoever - didn't even know what a calorie was), so I guess the biggest shock to me was that: holy crap, salad can taste good. As long as it's big, vibrant and covered with dead animal pieces.
7. Favorite meal to cook? That's a tough one. Very tough. From a (very) wide variety of things I love to cook, I guess I'm gonna have to go with one of my specialties: meat (usually salmon crusted in almond, goat steaks or chicken) and sweet potato fries.
8. Favorite coffee brand? Black coffee, hands down. No cream, butter, sugar, oil, etc - just pure, bitter deliciousness.
9. Do you drink tea? Yep. From time to time. Coffee's better, though.
10. Favorite meat? Red meat - goat. Fish - salmon. Fowl - chicken (or duck, if I can get my hands on it). To be honest, I don't really consider bacon a meat, more of a condiment; wrap it around another meat or crush it over a salad.
11. Favorite Veggie? Sweet potato. If that doesn't count as a veggie, then asparagus.
12. Favorite spice or other condiment? Paprika! Cinnamon for sweeter dishes (sweet potato + butter + cinnamon = nomgasm)
13. Favorite Fruit/Berry? Bananas are great and go well with pretty much everything. Apples make me feel bloated. Berry-wise... I'd go with strawberries and blueberries as a tie.
14. Favorite Larabar flavor (or other bar)? Never tried a Larabar, and I'm not a fan of pre-made bars. Prefer to make my own.
15. Preferred oil for cooking? Grass-fed butter, or animal fat if I have any.
16. What do you order when you have to go to a restaurant? Meat and vegetables. Safest thing I can order. Maybe bacon and eggs, but never an omelette; most places seem to love putting cream in their omelettes, and I hate cream in my omelette.
17. What brands of dairy do you buy (if primal)? Whey protein, cheese, Greek yoghurt, cottage cheese and butter. Oh, and dark chocolate.
18. What’s your go-to snack? I eat three big meals a day and feel fine, but if I feel especially hungry (usually on workout days) my go-to is boiled eggs, tuna cans, bananas or some dark chocolate.
19. What do you eat when you need extra carbs for a big workout? Don't usually "time" carbs pre workout, but post workout I'll have a sweet potato or oats - the latter is not Primal nor Paleo, but I like them from time to time (rarely, to be honest) and they're the only real gluten-free "grain" I can stand. Gonna try quinoa soon, though.
20.How do you like your eggs? Fried in butter or animal fat. However, if served with salmon, I prefer them poached.
21. What supplements do you take? Whey protein.
22. Favorite paleo/primal cookbook? Haven't had the fortune to come across Well Fed or any other Paleo books, but I do own a coy of The Primal Blueprint Cookbook.
23. Weirdest paleo/primal experience so far? Bacon. Wrapped. Lamb hearts.
24. How supportive are your family/friends? Family doesn't really care. Friends find it weird the way I eat - even when I explain I'm coeliac - and wonder why I don't eat GF foods. Clearly, they've never tried GF foods. It's like eating a brick made of *kitten*-cement.
25. Strangest question or reaction you’ve gotten from non-paleo/primal-ites?
26. What do you eat when you feel like you need/want something sweet?
27. Where do you buy paleo/primal items that you can’t find in your local grocery store or farmer’s market?
28. What’s the furthest you have driven to buy something paleo/primal specific? I don't drive. But I once walked about five miles to find a place that sold some decent non-gluteny, non-processed food. I swear, city is hell for a Primal-Coeliac.
29. What’s something that you never ate before paleo/primal, but now love? Salmon. Yep. Believe it or not, I never used to be that big a fan of fish. Now... wow. Salmon is one of my favourite things to eat.
30. What’s something that is SAD that you have found a paleo/primal replacement for? Um, how about everything? Fish and chips - done. Burger and chips - done. Nachos - done. Nachos - *****, please. I do this stuff for fun. You name it, I'll Primalise it.
31. What’s something that you thought you wouldn’t like, but decided to try it anyway and found to like? Almond butter. Used to be a big PB fan, but now I prefer other nut butters over it.
32.What’s something that is paleo/primal, but you just can’t stand? The low-carb obsession. I like my carbs. Carbs are good.
33. What's something paleo/primal that you haven't tried yet, think you want to, but are unsure off? Want to try - but haven't yet got my hands on - sweet bread, oxtail, and all game meats.
34. Have you modified your exercise to be more paleo/primal specific? He'll yeah. Heavy lifting, FTW - since I haven't (yet) got a gym membership I have a "home gym" consisting of rocks and bags of firewood that I lift. I walk a lot, too... But that's my means of getting around, not an exercise.0 -

24. How supportive are your family/friends? Not at all - Primal/paleo community is pretty much my only support

27. Where do you buy paleo/primal items that you can’t find in your local grocery store or farmer’s market? Can find everything I need in my garden, grow our own beef, eggs from the neighbour, rest at local grocery store - all red meat in our supermarkets here is grass fed as is the butter etc

32. What’s something that is paleo/primal, but you just can’t stand? Lamb, offal, marrow, meat still with the bones in it etc
