Your diary is marked private so there is no way for us to give you feedback. What about taking your diary to your surgeons office and have the nutritionist look at it?0

Never lose hope...and dont compare your loss to other people. If I start comparing my loss to others then I will start feeling bad too! I know people that have lost way more than me and faster. I routinely hit those walls about every 6 weeks or so. 66 pounds is awesome! that is 66 pounds you will never have to see again! I am finding at this stage my body is sort of strange...if I dont get enough calories or protein my weight loss completely stalls out. Try increasing your protein and drinking lots of water. Never give up!0

I agree with ^^^. I stall every three weeks. Keep pushing through the plateaus and check in with your nutritionist. Maybe he/she can recommend some changes to your diet to jump start your loss.0

It's hard not to compare yourselves with others but don't. This is a personal journey of ups and downs. Embrace them both. Enjoy the ups (weight loss, NSV's, changes in measurements) and learn from the downs (plateaus, changes in body, people in general). Once you realize that this is a life style that you will need to live each and every day you will be much more at peace with whatever happens. This is a marathon, not a sprint and therefore you have to pace yourself. One day at a time. If you slip, jump right back on the minute you realize it. And just remember we are all here for you.0

I have a coworker who had RNY and lost 210 lbs in her first year, most of it in her first 6 months. At 6 months out, I had only lost about 60lbs and had been at a month long stall. At my 6 month post op appointment I was in my surgeon's office in tears because I was doing something wrong since the weight just wasn't falling off of me.
He simply said, "Everyone who has WLS is different. You can't compare yourself to other people." He then reminded me of everything I had accomplished 6 months post-op. I had come off all my blood pressure meds and had a normal BP. My insulin intake was down from 900 units a day to 100 units a day. I hadn't had an edema flare up in months and my joint/back pain was far more manageable that it ever had been.
I am now 2 weeks from my 1 year anniversary and I am down 113lbs. Its not as many as some and more than others, but its what I have accomplished so far. I am still losing weekly and I still have 100lbs to go. For me, my NSVs are so much more exciting than the scale numbers.0
