Tipping the scales and losing inches

Hey ladies!
So the scale can sometimes be a misconception. Its a measurement weight so that could mean the water weight during our periods, undigested food or even muscle gained. Then there are those inches that peel on or off, making our clothes looser or tighter and making us appear leaner or thicker. So what is important to you? How much the scale says or how you look in the mirror with and without clothes? I go back and forth with myself as far as my personal level of importance. Of course I enjoy inches peeling off and clothes in smaller sizes, the definition in areas of my body and a leaner look, but then again who doesn't want to see it on the scale as well? I'm totally striving for better health and a better look, I have deemed the scale my fulltime Frenemy! What do you think?

I agree! I love to see it on the scale, but it feels just as good to slip into a pair of pants that I could not pull past my thighs. I am on a journey to improve my over all health (physically and mentally).0

Totally agree!!! I desperately want to be lighter and at my goal of 160, and although I have been stuck at 187 for 4 weeks I have been losing inches and tightening up. It is so bittersweet. :grumble:0

The scaIe and I, we do have a complicated relationship. I wish I could say the number doesn't matter but it does. That number matters when I go to the DMV and I have to reveal my weight so its recorded for all to see on my driver's licence. It matters when I go to the doctor and "we do the numbers." It matters when I calculate my BMI and it tells me I'm still "overweight." It matters everytime I get on an exercise machine and I have to input my weight. Sure I like what I'm seeing in the mirror and all the other NSVs. I also know that this lifestyle is a lifetime commitment for me, "Fitness for Life!" None-the-less, I'd truly love for the number on the scale to ease on down.....0
