Hi there, i'm new to the group. I am wondering if anyone has done this while breastfeeding? If so, how old was your baby, how often were you feeding and how many calories did you add to compensate for it? I'm so scared that i'm going to over estimate breastfeeding calories burned or under estimate breastfeeding calories burned. I need to lose about 6-8 pounds o ffat but gain muscle. It says my tdee is 2108 and my calories for weight loss at 15% are 1792. I am unsure how many calories I should add on for breastfeeding.

Here's what I learned, I am not breastfeeding but one of my friends is...

To produce about 25 ounces of milk a day, it costs the nursing mother about 650 calories above her usual requirements. Breastfeeding mothers usually lose 1 to 4 pounds per month without restricting their calorie intake and should consume no less than 1500 - 1800 calories a day.

For every ounce of milk your body neds about 20 extra calories.
Make sure you eat enough when breastfeeding. That is really important.
EM2WL can be done while nursing. Just keep your deficit small and don't cut more than max.10%
