I'm up for a promotion at work that will require a lot of driving. I have not driven with my BMF yet and was wondering if it will mess with the accuracy? Maybe with steps taken? I am really enjoying it, so far.

  • CONGRATS on the promotion!!!!!
Pretty much a homebody but..............the nearest grocery store is 40 miles roundtrip (and nearest walmart is 140 miles round trip) so I do put some miles on. I've never noticed any issue w/steps and pretty much burn the same amount of calories as when I am sitting around the house. When I'm on the tractor though -- I get lots of steps (probably equivalent to the number of miles I put on) and actually get moderate activity. Obviously those steps aren't accurate but the calorie burn is - have a tendency to lose weight during haying season cuz burn alot of cals and don't have time to eat and my #s lost is equivalent to the deficit.

So update. I got the promotion yay!!! THe job pretty much consists of drive for ten to twenty minutes(usually closer to ten minutes) then get out and do patrols for 15-45 minutes and repeat. So i'm actually more active than some of the sites I've been to. And here I was hoping that this job would make it so that I would not have to figure out how to eat a little bit more so I can go to the gym... GRRR

    Congrats!
Mine only records extra steps on really bumpy roads, other than that I haven't noticed any thing.
