Celeb obsessed?

I work as a receptionist, so I have a lot of time to be bored and browse the internet. I always find myself obsessing over finding out how much celebs weigh and how tall they are. I don't know why I do it, it only makes me feel worse.
Is this just me that does this?

I look up stuff like that out of curiosity, but it doesn't bother me.
I've never been someone whose obsessed with celebrities and I certainly don't want to look like them. I'm actually very confident and content in my own body, so I don't really understand "celeb-worship."0 -
YES! I do this all the time, not so much celebrities but porn stars! idk why!!!!!!!!!!! it just makes me feel worse as well!0

Ladies, I was just looking up celeb height/weight stats online the other night and came to the realization that it's all lies! For example, my 15-year old daughter is 5'1" and she weighs anywhere between 107-112lbs. She is a size 00, 0, or 1 depending upon that range and the particular brand. Long story short, she's teeny tiny and has a perfect little figure. She does not even look curvy in the least, not even at 112.
Then, I look online and it says Gwyneth Paltrow is 5'9" and 112 lbs. There is no way that's even physically possible. There are many other examples like this. Also, when you look at the "top" weights, closer to my size the "bigger" celebs also lie there. For example, Kirstie Alley reported her top weight at somewhere in the 200 lb range. I know this is a lie by about 50lbs, because I am in that range and a lot smaller than she was at that time.
My rant here is that I wish the entire industry would stop lying about both their heights and weights. They are reporting themselves much taller and weighing much less than they actually do. It gives young girls, and even women my age a very depressed and distorted image. Why can't they just say, I'm 5'6' and 130lbs? In college, I was at that height/weight and a size 3. I had a 26" waist. Yes, I know different bodies carry weights differently...but my point is....I'm so frustrated with how they report weights, and in some cases I feel like it's really irresponsible. Ok, I'll quit complaining and get back to work! Have a great day all.0 -

People don't look the same at similar weights. It depends on your body type, frame, height, etc.
I weigh 235 right now but most people guess 150-170! I'm 5'11 and it takes literally a 30 pound or MORE loss for visible results. Now, a 5'2 person at 235 would look massive. I'm not saying that to be mean, but smaller bodies don't hold weight as well and it's more visible on a smaller frame.0 -
I look but it doesn't bother me if I read a celebrity's so-called stats. I figure most of it is b.s. Just like how so many of them credit their looks to drinking lots of water and getting sleep. Yeah, sure. THAT is all you do to look the way you do. *coughplasticsurgerycough*
I've asked a few women who have my frame what their weight is. These are women I know well. Surprisingly, some of them weighed more than I thought! Goes to show how weight can be distributed so differently among people. One lady looks about 110 but she said she's 125. I don't know if I have it in me to get down to that size. That was my size in college. I'm hoping to get to 135 or 140. Ultimately, I compare myself to me. I look at photos of myself at my goal weight and I like what I see so I shoot for that.0 -
