WORRIED ABOUT THE WRONG STUFF!

Worried about trans fat or salt? That's a little old-school. If you want to stay current on dietary villains, you'll want to start thinking about sugar.

Lots and lots of sugar — as in 77 grams, or nearly 20 teaspoons. That's how much added sugar the average American consumes every day, according to a 2011 scientific report, and that's not even factoring in the sugars naturally found in fruits, vegetables and milk.

I don't worry about any of the above.

I aim to hit my protein goal of 110 g minimum per day and after that my fats and carbs work themselves out. Sometimes my sugar intake is quite high but I don't have insulin resistance so my body is well capable of processing it for me.

Simple way to watch your sugar.. Don't add it to stuff.. Solved. As for sugar in fruits and natural sugar.. don't make meals out of eating pineapple and oranges and you shouldn't have any problems.. Fruits are needed though so don't worry about the sugar in your recommended daily intake.
