Hi All,
I started eating paleo/primal about 10 days ago, and I am very happy with how it has made me feel. I am looking to lose weight as well (100 pounds)and just have a complete lifestyle overhaul. Eating paleo (although after doing some reading, I think I eat more Primal) has given me energy I didn't have before and has just made me feel better overall. I am excited to see where this will take me, as I plan on sticking with this way of eating for life. (never going back to my "fat, ms.piggy" days!)
Please offer up any advice or suggestions you may have, also, what does everyone eat for breakfast? I usually have eggs and bacon or paleo pancakes (only once a week as the carbs are crazy!) Looking for some different ways to change it up a bit! All suggestions are appreciated.

Welcome! Glad to have you here!
I personnally eat breakfast maybe once a week if that. I was never really into breakfast eating. If I happen to eat it ill do eggs and bacon or sausage.0 -
So, I loved paleo when I did it for about 6 months. I lost a good amount of weight and felt wonderful. The problem is I am having a hard time affording it with a family of 5. Any suggestions?0

I have a family of 4 and I agree, eating paleo can get expensive. I live in Canada, and around where my in-laws live there are a few fruit markets (wholesale prices) so I am able to get enough produce to last 1 week for roughly $50. If I have to buy the same amount of produce from a big chain grocery store, I will spend double, $100. Try to see if there are any fruit markets around you that sell produce at wholesale prices, this will help with some of the cost. Also, when meat is on sale at the grocery store or butcher, I will try and purchase a few extra packs to keep in my freezer.
For almond flour, nuts, and some other products, I go to the bulk store to purchase these items. I find because they are in bulk, they don’t cost as much as certain brand names you would find in your grocery store. Plus you can control how much you product you want to purchase, so if you only need a 1 cup of almonds, there is no need to buy a whole bag when you can go to the bulk store and get just 1 cup!
I hope I helped a little!! Good Luck, I know how it is to shop on a budget!0 -

I usually eat eggs and bacon/sausage. If I'm in the mood for something sweeter/carb-like, I love Steve's Paleo Krunch Grain-free cereal. You can serve up a bowl of it with some almond milk. His website also has some great snack foods. http://stevesoriginal.com/0

I do eat a small bit of cheese. My breakfast usually is one of the following:
Banana Pancake and sausage or bacon
Pumkin Pie Protien Shake
No Oat Oatmeal
Feta, spinach and sauce omelet (1 egg)
Pumkin pancakes/waffles with sausage or bacon
All recipes are on my food diary..your welcome to friend me and take a look.
All of those can be prepared the night before and just warmed up in the morning if you are in a time crunch.
everyday paleo is a great cookbook and paleomg.com is fantastic0 -

I am Primal. My usual breakfast is Greek Yogurt with berries and bulletproof coffee (coffee with coconut oil mixed in blender). Usually after a couple of hours, I'll have a handful of almonds.0
