Ok I've been losing and on MFP for a year now. At first I didn't even count calories i just cut my portions. Then when I started counting I realized this 1200 BS wasn't for me and started EM2WL. I was eating around 1900 calories. Was doing a workout video 4 times a week an running about 15 miles a week. Beginning of Nov I have cut my running back and its way back right the moment for numerous reasons one being I need new running shoes BAD. I've been doing 30DS about 4 times a week. Since nov I've been trying to figure out my calories because the scale is doing nothing but bounce form 149-152. I'm on my last 10lb.
I used scooby an redid my numbers and it says 1818 is what i should eat..but nothing seems to be working. I've been trying to eat at 1600 and i barely do it without eating my arm off. I have no idea what to do here.

How tall are you?
What did the scooby calc say was your BMR? What percentage of calorie deficit did you select?
Also, outside of your workout days, what is your daily activity like? Sitting all day at a desk job, walking around/standing, sleeping.
Are you taking measurements at all, or just using the scale? Often times losses come in the form of inches gone rather than a drop on the scale - you could easilyt be losing/burning fat and building Muscle too.0 -
I had ZERO success at measurements..i must be brain dead in that department because it always says the same and i've changed clothing sizes.
Im a stay at home mom to 2 toddlers.
My BMR is about 1500 every different calc i've tried ranges from 1400-1500
I'm 5'2
I put 1-3 hrs a week of light exercise into the calculator just now an it says TDEE 2041 and eat at 17350 -

A 10% cut of 2041 is 1837. Your cut % may be too deep and you are not eating enough at 1735. With only needing to lose 10 pounds your cut should not be very deep. Do you know what your current BF% is?0 -

Just as you can't spot reduce, you can't spot measure either.
Clothes are many spots, so good for knowing if you are losing somewhere.
Just need to measure more spots.
If you are losing fat and gaining LBM, even if not likely muscle because deficit is too deep for that at this point, may have to switch things up a tad.
You are losing fat, may be able to take more deficit and lose weight too because of losing more fat.
But, may already be suppressed TDEE because of eating too little, and bigger cut means the body just rebalances and you get nothing after a lag time.
Might take a diet or exercise week break.
If diet, eat at likely TDEE for level of exercise.
If exercise, eat at likely TDEE for no exercise. Walking is fine though.0 -
I don't know what my body fat percent is but I'd be interested to find out.. I was taking measurements of waist thighs calves and biceps....
I think the break week would be a good idea... especially since we are fixing to move soon and everythings getting hecktick. I appreciate the input because i was running out of ideas...0
