Start now learning how to eat after surgery. Small bites, measure, get your water in, stop soda (fizzy is not good for pouches), look at your proteins. Find out what you are supposed to do - my doc has a notebook, a one day pre-op class (learn how much we can eat, when not to drink water, no soda, etc) - and rI efer to that to stay on track. Try out some of the protein powders and drinks. They will be your friends. I like Pure Protein - but others will tell you their favorites.

I had to do a 6 mo medically managed weight loss for insurance. During that time I learned to eat slower, smaller bites, CHEW CHEW, understand what the lapband would mean to me. It was a great thing that we had to wait. we learned so much and I was able to put into place some healthy habits.
