Any Paleo Runners?

I typically run about 4 times a week and average about 30-ish miles/week. I'm training for my 3rd marathon coming up in February, interested to see how it goes this time compared to my other 2 now that I'm eating Paleo. Any other Paleo runners out there, what kind of changes have you seen in your running performance since going Paleo?

I got a new half marathon PR by almost 2 minutes after going Paleo when I should have probably still been in the "carb flu" phase.

I am primal or "swiss paleo" and a runner (although I've been grounded recently with plantar fasciitis). My last half marathon was in October and I started going primal right around the same time. I haven't had a lot of experience with combining running and paleo/primal yet so I, too, am interested in hearing from other runners...

Well I'm a new runner. My first 5k was in Aug 2012. I will say I am a very slow runner. However, I have noticed that my times are improving the longer I'm on paleo. I finished a 4 mile race on Thanksgiving in the stay time that I ran my first 5k. I cannot say for certain if it is the diet, the weight loss or just getting more experience under my belt.

I just "ran" a circuit around town on Tuesday. It ended up being 5.6km and took about 33 minutes. I only sprinted before July of this year when I broke my ankle (unrelated to running). I started hiking again early September and and did a couple sprints later that month but my ankle was too weak to really put the effort in that I like to.

Anyway, the "run" on Tuesday was the first distance run I've done and was not well paced - a lot of near sprinting for about a minute or so and then walking for a couple. Still, it averaged out to about a 10 minute mile which I'm told is not too shabby especially considering the non-existent conditioning and previously busted appendages. Also, I don't feel as if I was really pushing myself on the run either and afterward I felt fine... except my calves, which still feel like someone kicked me in 'em really hard (I run with barefoot-shoes and my calves have not regained their strength from the down time). I probably shouldn't push 'em so hard, so fast, but the fact is, I just don't care.

So, I'm convinced this paleo/primal diet and fitness thing will put one in better shape than pretty much anything else will. It's worked wonders for me with everything and I'll never stop it.
