Survived an xmas party - NSV

Last night I had my husbands xmas party, and although I am following the 80/20 on paleo, I really wanted to be as good as possible... The party was at a Lebanese restaurant, so of course there was lots of pitas, rice, rice balls, hummus and other dips, desserts etc. I am PROUD to say I stuck with the salads, and meat kabobs. Normally this would have been a slop show of stuffing my face, but I can't believe I didn't eat the rest. the best part is, it didn't even bother me that much, I had plenty of meat and was content in that. I had 3 glasses of red wine, and a few vodka waters but had planned on that before. Normally after the bar it would be filled with trips to the pizza place or poutine (Canadian here lol), but I just went home and to bed. I can't say I felt 100% great this morning, it had been 4 weeks since I drank, but I was happy I didn't have to feel guilty. Usually the hangover day is all carbs, bagels, pizza, chinese, but today was bacon, and cooking a turkey so we have meat stocked up for the week !!

Friday I am having my 1 month weigh in and measurements, so I am super excited to share with you the results!

Wow, doesn't it just feel incredible when you realize how much you've changed and how far you've come? Congratulations on staying strong at a holiday party, those seem to be challenging for everyone still. I've had more slip ups than I'd care to mention this year, but I'm trying not to beat myself up over it!

thats is awesome!!! it can be so tempting sometimes with all that non-paleo food around, I am 95% paleo and so far so good as for the parties, I haven't cheated at all, its going to get harder as Christmas gets closer but going to do my best , but I honestly don't even crave it anymore, rather eat meat than sweets :laugh:
