not losing anymore ??

The first few weeks into this whole eat More to lose weight concept has been great. I managed to shed 0.3-0.5kg each week. But ever since I had a knee injury which stopped me from exercising for 2 weeks, I've been stalling? I tried to do a lot more cardio to melt off the fat, but now I'm concerned that I might be doing too much cardio and maybe should cut down a bit? I use the ntc app for iPhones and I do cardio like 5 days of the week....
Any advice would be helpful! I don't have that much to lose just the last 5 kgs

Did you cut back on calories during the 2 weeks of no exercise?
Are you eating more with the weeks of extra cardio now?
You can do cardio all the time, but to help prevent muscle burn off, you need less deficit, so normally you'd be down at 10% anyway with last bit to lose, make it 7.5% with nothing but cardio.0 -
I set my self as sedentary for those two weeks and just ate at tdee.
yes I'm eating at 1800 now
So you're suggesting that I just do cardio and no weight training/lifting?0 -

So of course you lost no weight eating at TDEE.
As to now, if you can lift that is still better than straight cardio and allows bigger deficit.
It sounded like you were still injured hence the reason for just cardio.0 -

Yes but that was 4 weeks ago and the last two weeks I ate at the cut percentage and still lost nothing? I know patience is the key but i was just wondering if I was doing something wrong0 -

Valid weigh-in?
Morning after rest day so no exercise induced fluctuations?
Not still sore from lifting day before rest perhaps?
No high sodium meals on rest day?
So you ate at a new level because you are doing cardio now, but it sounds like previously with weight coming off you were doing lifting?
I think you may have answered part of the problem right there.
What's different now than before?0 -
I've always done cardio, but now I go to the gym to lift once or twice a week, I've incorpted weights into my normal routines
So I should weigh in after the rest day when I'm not still sore from lifting? I think that could be the problem I could be seeing some fluctuation, I've thrown the scale out of the house and only weigh in when I go to the gym, and I'll be doing that this afternoon, I'll see if there's any changes.0 -
I plateaued for almost 12 weeks but I continued doing what I was doing and then the weight started coming off again. I have lost 15 lbs since that 12 week plateau.
Oh and I took a couple one week diet breaks in there as well.0 -
Thanks, that's what I'm doing right now, I try not to weigh myself so often, mayb twice a month
Going on a diet break starting next Monday, just in time for Xmas, haha0
