First 5K, is this addictive?

So after finishing the C25K about 10 days ago, I ran my first formal 5k ParkRun. What a great organisation ParkRun is makes everything so easy, even for a novice runner.
Not my fastest time ever. Went off way too hard at the start and paid the price. Managed to get through, ran all the way and even managed a bit of faster pace in the last 100m, hesitate to call it a sprint.
Many lessons learned, but I am worried that this is addictive.
