Today is my first day back doing Weight Watchers and I looked up my points online and it gave me 31.
Starting weight 264 pounds and 228 this morning.
Goal Weight 132 pounds
I would love to get under 200 some time in March/April
Daily points allowed: 31

Nope, the weekly 35 points are counter productive for me personally..I carry over my exercise points to the next day and if I get to the weekend and I am hungry I may eat a few exercise points back but come Monday I start over with 0 banked. If you don't earn it, don't eat it. It seems to have always worked better than having prebanked points because if you are eating them back then you are truely only eating back half of what you burned..example: 100 calories burned equals 1 point and 50 calories eaten equals 1 point..so if you burn 5 points and ate the same 5 points back you still have burned 250 calories and didn't eat them back.0

Yesterday was a little tough. It was a long day and I went over my points by 2 points so I ate back half my exercise points. I really should be eating 29 points a day as a medium and 31 points as a max looking at a chart someone provided. 26-31 is my goal on a chart that one of the people on here put on.
I am doing the old points system without the added 35 flex points.

Today is the start to a new year for me. Last Christmas I was 278 pounds and pregnant with my 5th. This year I am 234.6 pounds and started my counter over for a new year. Starting off at 0 loss is actually a relief for me for some reason. It is like starting a journey from the beginning and wiping all of the previous years mistakes away.

Old Points system
I ate 26 today but my goal was 29. I also worked out on my elliptical for an hour earning around 3 points as well. The difference between today and yesterday is that I added a lot more fruits and veges. I made home made stirfry out of zucchini, cabbage, carrots, green beans, broccoli and celery and it was amazing with a little Mr. Dash. I topped it off with a Protein shake and was good to go. Actually I was so stuffed that I couldn't eat another bite even if I wanted too. Downed it with mint tea and now time for bed.0 -
Yesterday I ended with 30.5 points after exercise and today I am down to 24 points before exercise. I am hungry but I am more tired so I am getting to bed, I will eat more tomorrow. The reason I ate so little today and so much the day before is because I ate chocolate in my diet, I am doing a diet competition to change my bad habits and I have to not eat chocolate for a whole month and drink 8 glasses of water a day. I was dreaming of eating chocolate last night, that's how bad the habit is for me..well no more.

This day started like the rest, good, but I woke up in pain and was in pain all day..walked slowly on my elliptical at little retention and then back on my couch to rest until the ibuprofen would kick in fully, Feeling better now, at least don't feel totally awful.

I am doing an experiment with my points. I am doing the new system, even though I have great success with the old, and I am calculating the PointPlus for 2 pounds loss per week instead of 1 pound like they have it set up. Also they give you up to 48 points but these are exercise points and you have to earn them. I decided to continue doing what I was doing and only eat it if I earn it. It works for me. It is more complicated than the old system but with MFP it seems alright.

I am yoyoing my points and calories. I ate 1500 calories today and less yesterday. It was a great day I am hoping to see somewhat of a loss tomorrow.

I am actually doing that right now and compared it to my old calculator and I am thrilled that it is so easy to follow.
I finally had a chance to check it today and come to the conclusion that it was 31.5 points yesterday. A little over but not bad. I also worked out though and earned lots of points.0 -
I think I am still committed to the old system more than the new.
The past few days have been tough. 1. because some of the MFP friends I have haven't been very encouraging and actually are very negative to almost every remark I make. 2. I had to realize that my two month trend chart was off and that I am actually losing weight. At about 1.5 pounds a week. 3. I increased the intensity to my workouts instead of duration and it is an adjustment.
One thing I might look into getting is an HRM band. They are handy for telling you how fast your heartrate is for your exercise and give you a guesstiment on how many calories you are burning. Might stop at Big Five and see what they have.

I lost 5 pounds so far this month. I can't complain. I thought that maybe my scale was off so I have been weighing on the same scale everyday for the last 2 weeks and I lost 5 pounds since January 1st. I am so excited that it isn't just going up.
2 things I have added to my daily regimen. 1. Iodine. I don't get enough and haven't for a while and then I have food in my diet that suppresses the iodine absorption, so I was getting a double wammy on my poor thyroid. I already suffer from a sluggish thyroid. I don't recommended it for anyone unless you absolutely need it in your diet though because it can be dangerous. 2. I am drinking dandelion root, spearmint, and lemon balm tea. All three aid in digestion and with my IBS and other issues I have poor digestion and started drinking that to help and so far it has helped. I ate some Italian bread on Friday night and gained 4 pounds over night. I thought, WOW!!! that is going to take me a week to get off. The next day I got my tea and iodine drops and dropped 2 pounds and then was back down to 226.5 by Monday, I was thrilled. By today I was down to 225. I am so excited, tomorrow is my weigh in day and I hope to be down even more than I am today. I will be happy with 225, when I stepped on my scale after breakfast (which I did for kicks and giggles, fully dressed) I was 223.5 pounds. I would love to see this number tomorrow. Could you imagine? That would be awesome though. I hope the weight just melts off with the combination of tea, water, and iodine drops. So far it is working. My body is soooo sluggish that I have all the symptoms of a Hypothyroid but my doctor doesn't want to put me on anything because it will make it stop working all together.0 -
My head feels like it going to explode. :explode: I am still fighting the flu bug and hopefully it will start turning around soon.:sick: I am focusing on my 30 points and planning my meals ahead of time. Right now it is whatever my stomach can handle:embarassed: . I have a calculator that actually works now and it is great, now I can keep track throughout the day and it is consistent.0

Well now that I am not sick anymore I earned 2 points on my elliptical and I am having a good day. I decided to eat in moderation and not worry so much about what I am eating versus how many points I am consuming. I have decided that I just need to concentrate on my points and not so much of what I am eating. I was obsessing and not eating this or that because it makes me bloated or gives me diarrhea. I just am going to eat what I want come what may in moderation. I am just getting tired and hungry all the time.0

This week has been challenging but I have been losing weight. Not as much as I would have liked but I saw 221.5 on two different scales. LOL, I weighed myself at my Mom's scale and then again on my scale and I was 221.5 SOOOOOO excited. Now if I could convince my new scale to catch up with my new found weight loss, it is 10 pounds different.. I would love to lose about 30 more pounds and have both scales say under 200..I am determined and have been doing what it takes but my weight just is sooooooo slow in losing.
