How to get enough protein

I would like to hear how some of you get enough protein in your diet for a 40/30/30 plan, as is suggested for Insanity. I can never seem to get enough protein.
Part of my problem is that I absolutely cannot do eggs. The thought of eating a scrambled egg--blah! In the mornings, I nearly always eat a breakfast sandwich of some sort with bacon, ham, or turkey sausage and a slice of cheese.
It is as simple as just eating a bigger slab of chicken for dinner? I could do that easily if I cut back on other side dishes, especially the carbs.
I have never used protein shakes and I'm not sure I want to. It feels weird to think of "drinking" my calories. I also am not interested in playing into the marketing of the Results and Recovery formula or Shakeology. But I would still be interested in hearing about these too if you feel that you can isolate the results you have had with protein drinks.
I would love some ideas.

How do you feel about nuts? Nuts are an excellent source of protein. If you don't like nuts, then try peanuts, because they're higher in calories and an appetite suppressant , so you'll eat less. Soya products are also protein products. Different forms of beans are proteins. You could eat more fish.If you like sandwhiches, try tuna with with mayo & some tobasco or hot sauce. You could make fish cakes . Eating smaller pieces of protein throughout the day will work, as well as just eating more meat at a meal.
I'm only starting with protein drinks now, so I can't comment on them fairly.Plus, I'm not American so we'd probably have very different brands. I have been having 1-2 glasses of protein drinks almost every day (I try for after I exercise, before if I'm going to get hungry or if I'm hungry in the day, I'll have 1).So far, between that and 3 meals a day, I haven't picked up any weight .

I am able to get in lots of protein by eating 2 cups of Greek yogurt every day, 6 oz of chicken breast on my lunch salad, and I eat around 6 oz of some type of meat at dinner. I also tend to eat beans as a side for dinner (black beans, pinto beans etc). I also drink a whey protein drink on Insanity days.0

regular or greek yogurt with protein powder added to it. I also have chicken on my salads for lunch and then some sort of meat at night. I like eggs so I'll eat them scrammbled or fried or sometimes I make little egg bakes and heat them up when needed. I also struggle from time to time with getting in my protein. I look forward to seeing what others eat.0

I eat almonds or some type of nuts on a daily basis. This gives me a lot of protein, plus helps me meet my calorie goal for the day (I tend to be way under). Peanut butter (all natural without sugar added) or any other nut butter also is a good source of protein. I tried the protein powder thing, but had a hard time with it. I always swore that the protein powder gave everything a certain taste that I just wasn't fond of (that could've been in my head though).0

For me that is:
-quark, sometimes with proteinpowder.
-nuts, peanutbutter
-tuna, salmon or other fish
-sometimes chicken
-proteinbar
-beans
I do am a fan of eggs. I've made the two ingredient pancake several times. Where you use 2 eggs and 1 banana ( love them ripe ). Thats also works for me.

I also make protein bars/muffins. I follow the Jamie Eason recipe for them. Or I find other things like pancakes and other things like that on Pinterest that are filled with protein. Making them is the biggest battle. Once I have them made then I'm good to go but if I don't have them made then I don't do as well.0
