I just started the C25K 12/16/12

Hey all! I have just started this program and am going to do the Cooper River Bridge Run in Charleston, SC in April which is a 10k.....so I will do this plan and then do the add on C210K which takes 6 weeks...so no break in between but perfectly timed. Any tips?

    Hi and welcome! Be sure to stretch and listen to your body. Speed isn't important right now just concentrate on your stride and form. A good playlist is a must to for longer runs, lol.

    I'll second phillbis for a good stretch before and after. I didn't start using my ipod for runs until about week 4. It helped me to get out of my own head and just enjoy the run.

    I am doing similar to you. When I finish C25k I am going right into active.com's 5k to 10k program. When that is done I'll be starting a 10k bridge to 10 miles program. All this training is for a 10 mile event in September. I figure by then I'll have the endurance and my time might improve a bit.
