I posted some in the introduce section...

I have used Weight Watchers for 11 yrs now. That is a VERY long time. When I first started I got pregnant with my son and had to stop. My Mother and I joined together every time. After my son was born I got back on the Weight Watchers band wagon because my Mom was willing to pay for it. I was hooked. I lost weight fast than her and she eventually stopped going and I was on my own. I spent 2 yrs getting the pregnancy weight off but I got down to 174 from 298 pounds before I got pregnant with my daughter. I gained back to 289 pounds and lost to 164 with my daughter and gained to 250 pounds and lost to 198 with my Twins..I spent 4 yrs trying to get the weight off after the Twins before I realized it wasn't the diet it was the birthcontrol. At that point I had a broken calculator as well and gave up WW but didn't give in..I got the IUD out last year and now have a 9 month old and weight in at 226 pounds from 278 at the hospital. I just started using Weight Watchers again because I have a free calculator droid app on my phone and I can use it in conjunction with MFP.

Tip 1: Something that has worked for me to lose weight in the past with Weight Watchers was to use it in conjunction with Slimfast or a Weight Loss shake to meet my minimum requirements and to help me not have to worry about calculating every meal. I did this until I got under 200 pounds and switched over to regular food one meal at a time. Also, taking a multivitamin helps and plenty of Vitamin D and B complex. Your system lacks things when you diet and if you balance those things out you will lose weight faster.

Tip 2: Exercise was a hard thing to fit in. Instead of having 35 points a week for flex I used my exercise points as my flex points but didn't carry them over past Sunday..Also, if I over ate by a point or two I would get on that treadmill, pop in that video, or do what ever exercise I needed to for 15 to 30 minutes to burn up that point, but only just back down to my max points. That way I never really over ate in the end and yes it works and you think before you put that brownie or cookie in your mouth because it is 50 calories for a point of food but it takes 100 calories to burn that point off and a brownie is as much as 5 points depending on the kind.

Tip 3: Hunger has always been a problem in the past also and the more fiber you take in the less hungry you are. Making sure you get in all of your fruits and veges helps as well. Down a point free tomato, or a 1 point apple or orange..This helps immensely with hunger pains. A big green salad topped with point free toppings is also a great way to fill up..Air popped pop corn with spray butter is great and so is vege soup and if you are craving a chocolate bar or the such, have sugar free hot cocoa or even 1 serving of regular hot cocoa and minus it from your exercise points.

Tip 4: WEIGH YOURSELF, even if it is daily write it down on a chart, even gains. You will notice your gradual decrease in weight. Weigh in on MFP even if it is daily. Weigh in on a phone app like Libra and look at your trends when you get discouraged and take pictures. Reward yourself with non weight related items for every 5 pounds that you lose. Get a charm, book mark, bath salts, workout video (can never have enough of those), workout music, and/or put a $5 bill into a piggy bank for every 5 pounds so that when you hit goal you have shopping money.

These are just a few tips that have helped me achieve huge weight loss success using Weight Watchers. Some of them you or all of them you can use with any one of the systems. I personally use the old system. Also, befriend me or message me if you have a question. This program is my bread and butter and like I have said, I am thrilled to have a calculator again.

I have been doing this a long long time...it is by far my favorite diet because it works. I have tried other diets and they work for a time but this one works as a life style change. For those that think they can maintain without writing things down haven't talked to successful dieters who continue to write things down their whole lives.

With birth control I learned quick that it makes you gain weight. I stopped all hormones immediately. This was years ago. I would never do hormones again. I use paragard now. The IUD without hormones. Mirena still has hormones although not many people realize.

You have had an amazing journey. All those tips are really pretty neat. I didn't think about exercise that way before. I now realize that to have a good calorie deficit exercise is a must. It's better to feed the muscle and burn the fat. Burn the fat = exercise it to create that deficit.

Thank you, it isn't easy to find the right balance but when you do and you find something that works for your body it is easy to lose the weight. I think people put a lot of emphasize on the exercise and don't realize that they either need to eat less or more in order to lose the weight. I know people who are on the eat more to lose weight diet and they aren't losing because they aren't consistent in their exercise regimine. Freedieting.com gives an accurate calorie count for your exercise and remember that you can eat back all your exercise points and only eat half the calories back.
