active couch to 5k app volume..

So I downloaded this App because I started this week. I went out and turned on iheart radio in the background...and had the App set to max volume....but compared to the music it wasnt as loud as I would like...even set to the 100% volume.

I actually missed the signal for halfway and didnt turn around...lol

So my question is does anyone else have a droid phone and use this have any tips?

Does the volume sound loud if you use a playlist in the app instead of a separate music player?

I just don't want to spend money on downloading a playlist if that isnt even going to help....

I use my iPod for music and just use one ear bud. I have my droid on my other arm so I can hear the prompts on max app volume. It works for me.
