Health concerns of a high volume intake?

Okay I have asked this before, a long time ago and frankly, I don't remember the answer. So I thought I would post it here and get some more informed replies :)

Not talking calories, but are there health concerns I should have with eating a high VOLUME of food in a short time span? I know meal timing is irrelevant and all, but is this only to a degree? I tend to eat between 8-11pm (on weekends and holidays up to 1am) and eat a large QUANTITY of food.

Thank you :)

I have never heard of this being a problem.

I hope you're getting enough fibre and liquids to keep it moving through, but that's all I can think of.

Honestly, based on your diary entries, what you consider a high volume isn't even amounting to 1200 calories in a three hour span. Most of us eat 800-900 cal in a meal lasting maybe 30 min, so I would say you are at no risk of nothing but plateauing.

I eat between 1100 and 1400 calories after I get home from work and have been maintaining for almost 3 months. My breakfast is about half that, and I eat a small lunch most days.

Yeah, ignore my actual diary intakes. Haven't been home for a while :/ In general I do this.

Volume still doesnt make a difference. It will still take the same amount of calories to break down the food. Also, in order to get a ton of calories in a short time, then you need higher calorie foods so how can volume be that grand? Heck i commonly eat 12os of steak, 4-6 cups of salad and 1-2 cups of veggies and a protein shake within a hour or two before bed.

Define high volume? Like you eat sponges and they expand in your belly? Or you eat like 13 cups of broccoli? As long as you aren't physically discomforted about it, I don't think any major health concerns will arise other than your belly being stretched by eating a lot of food.

Well not broccoli specifically, but yes that concept :P
So the whole stomach stretching isn't all that big of an issue?
