Got it! Those ratios will give you enough fats and protein so if it helps your adherence, then it's a good idea to keep as is. Good luck!

Edited out a few of the quotes to shorten.

Thank you! Yes, they are set to 200g carbs, 67g fat, 150g protein! Protein is my biggest struggle!

    Hey all,
I didn't know where to post this in the message boards so I came to the group instead. I want to know why my stomach still sticks out when I make my posture right, and tighten my muscles. It's hard - it feels like it's muscle, but it sticks out...Why?!

I may not be explaining myself very well, so let me know if you don't understand what I'm asking... :/

Beyond genetics, one other suggestion related to your comment it feels firmer than fat on the outside of the muscle.

Bloating. Under the muscle. Pushing the whole thing out.

Ever had a really good cleansing ritual done? The bloating removed from a colon cleaning ritual is surprising sometimes. Even if skeptical, which I was (though with my diet I shouldn't have been), it usually isn't going to hurt anything. You can pay for a good one on do some self-drinking routines that could have limited success, but still enough to prove a point one way or another.

Do you get stomach grumblings after eating certain types of foods that are different than plain digestion noise after not eating them? That would be more sensitivity reaction and might expect differences in the stomach if you laid off those types of food.

It's not bloating...when I get bloated I look about 7 months pregnant.. :/ I do get stomach grumblings, but not after eating any certain types of food...They had me on a yeast free diet and I got frustrated with it because I felt like I couldn't eat anything...and I limited myself to 3 things...developing into an ed. I gave up on the yeast free diet because I wanted a second opinion - doctors here suck - I have felt much better, but recently stomach pain has slowly been starting to come back randomly... I have an order for a gastroenterologist to make an appointment so hopefully they can help with that... My stomach just hates me - and I do the best I can. I know if I go back to yeast free, I will get more frustrated and it will most likely trigger my ed again. I already have enough restrictions as it is. And no, I refuse to give up being a vegan (like some doctors have told me). I think it's ridiculous! IMO - anything is possible! If you have any other ideas I'd love to hear them! Thanks! :o)

I would NOT recommend any cleansing ritual.

I read your article...No worries though, I already have enough issues with food as it is. I don't need more. I eat healthy foods/drinks. I struggle to reach my calorie goal as it is. And I already have an unhealthy relationship with food... I don't want to worsen it. Yep...no cleanse diet for me.

Glad you posted and clarified - that's not what I was talking about at all, that is some extreme stuff there. I did a salt-water solution of proper ratio to not be absorbed but just past through, first thing in morning. That was extreme as it got.

While it's true a healthy body has many means of taking care of toxins and bloating and other issues, the problem is when it's not a healthy body. At least in this case being vegan, which I didn't recall, means whole lot less likely to have those problems.

Much like a healthy body can handle carbs correctly, but we know a pre-diabetic body won't.

I guess ritual was wrong term, because that sounds like something extended, and I know some of those products promote 7 day ritual. So either my skeptic nature or cheapness led to the 1 morning routine.

I would agree a good bulk cycle would be beneficial.. i am curious to why you are vegan if you have celiac? A paleo type diet is ideal for a autoimmune disease like that. It definitely makes getting protein a chore. If you dont have ethical issues i would highly consider bringing in at least fish, eggs or even white meats. Not trying to change your mind but providing an option. Then you wont have issues during bulk phases. Also, keep in mind that muscle is lean, the more you have the leaner you should look.

    Thank you.
Yes, I have celiac disease. And I am vegan for both ethical and personal taste reasons. I used to eat meat, but it was rare. I didn't like it. (Especially fish), I turned vegetarian for about 3 1/2 years, then read more into it and learned more, and decided vegan was even better and more the direction I wanted to be in. I started off raw-vegan, but ended up having to add cooked foods into my diet to be able to eat more...(this was the point where my ed developed seriously). So I've put raw on the back burner (more for financial reasons then anything), and am just vegan (and gluten-free).
Bulking is what I'll do then! I'll keep going with my stronglifts program! I'll do a weigh-in soon and see if I've gained weight. I'll be calling my gastroenterologist tomorrow to make an appointment, because my stomach has been acting up a lot more lately and I don't know if it's because of yeast or something else...All I know is I don't want to end up like I did this summer. So I'll try to get ahead of it this time! Here's hoping the doctors work with me this time!

Edited out a few of the quotes to shorten.

Do you eat edamame? and quinoa? (if that's gluten free...i guess it is. Idk much about gluten free) anyways...edamame protein is comparable to animal protein and quinoa is the only grain that is a complete protein.

I don't even know how you get 100 grams of protein a day being gluten free and vegan. I struggle to get 150 to 200 and I eat meat, cheese, cottage cheese and milk like I've never been fed. :)
