W3D3 after being sick for over a week

I did W3D3 yesterday morning, because it was the first time in 10 days I'd woken up and felt normal, and I missed running! I'd spent pretty much the whole week in bed with no energy at all. The only exercise I did was very, very, very light cycling on my stationary bike to loosen muscles up and alleviate that all-over tightness and ache you get from being so inactive. I was really intimidated about doing W3D3 after such a long break, so decided I'd just take it easy, slow it down and not worry about it if I ended up needing to walk through a run interval or two, especially since my route has steep hills.
It felt FANTASTIC! Not only did I not need to hold back, I decided to take an extended cooldown walk and go around the block again, and threw a couple of sprints in during that time. I ended up with a total workout length of an hour, during which time I traveled 3.64 miles. And today I'm not even sore. I typically do spinning on non-run days, and I don't think it's going to be any harder today than usual. Yay! I'm going to sign up for a 5k in January and do whatever workout I'm on as part of it, and do the same sort of extended cooldown for the rest of it, running part of it if I feel like it.
