Hi,
I don't know what it is like to eat and get full and quit eating b/c you are full. I never feel this way. I just eat and eat and eat. Sometimes I control it better than others is all. Not only am I never full, but I'm almost always never hungry. So, I basically have no signs and signals to go by when eating and don't know what it would feel like with them or obeying them if I had them. How do you get these feelings back? I think it would probably help if I had them. Does anyone have any ideas on this subject??? I do need help with this very much.

Hello,
I suggest reading some books about initutive eating. It will give you a guide to listening to your body and hunger levels.
A lot of people go by a 0-10 scale on hunger and fullness.
Your body is gentle in letting you know, hunger comes slowly... gradual, not some intense and sudden craving.
Headache, dizziness, sluggishness... etc. Find out what signs your body gives you when you're hungry, because everyone is different.
I am certainly no expert on this area. Binges have screwed with my hunger/fullness. I haven't listened to my body for years... it's calorie counting I focus on. I've been trying to change that.

And Geneen Roth does a good job describing this in her book Breaking Free From Emotional Eating too.0

Thank you both very much for commenting and helping me out. I really appreciate it all.
IceyRain, Thank you so much for all the links and the 1 through 10 scale. I'm going to look at each and every one of those links and try reading some books too. I really appreciate you taking the time to give me all the info you did. :flowerforyou:
GreekyGirl, Thank you and I will also look up that book on Amazon.com.

I have the same problem. I'm trying to eat normal portions but I feel so hungry so often. I've read that your appetite adjust after time, which makes sense. I've been stuffing myself silly for the past year and a half so my body has adjusted to allow for that intake. I just hope it doesn't take along time to get back to normal. It's hard to concentrate!0
