confessions of a daily weigher

I admit it. I weigh myself every morning. I have tried not to, but it is hard to resist. I understand that my weight fluxuates throughout a week. I can see the gain after a high sodium day or after a couple of beers. I try not to let the number affect me and most of the time I am successful. Until this morning - "official weigh in day." My weight went down a little each day after Christmas as I was losing the water weight I had stored. Sunday morning I was 167.5 (half a pound down from December 20th). Haven't seen a number that low for quite a while. Other than eating brownies yesterday, I thought I had a good week. This morning the scale said 170.5. What the . . . ? I know weight loss is not linear, but good grief! Can't it at least be low on the day I weigh in for this challenge?
Okay, I am done confessing and ranting now. Thanks for listening.

I have that when TOM hits or I drink more water or the day after a harder workout.
I try not to weight in on those days, tempt to jump on the scale every morning. start with every other morning, to get away from the scale, so you can still feel in control but do not weight in daily.
Just a thought!
I know how frustrating it is, when you see the number going down down down and than weight in day -bam- like someone put stones in your pockets!0 -
If you know for sure that you did't cheat enough for that number to increase and you have been doing your exercises than I would think maybe you could keep that lower number knowing it will be back to that number tomorrow or the next day. And another thing, weigh-in day is on Thursdays but you can take till Saturday to weigh and log it in the spreadsheet. So, If I were you...I would wait and see if the number goes down again. Like spacecurly says maybe it is TOM!0
