Wide Stance Squats

Hey ladies! I had legs today and I have been noticing (even before I started the program) that when I do squats it's really hard for me to keep my back up straight, I tend to lean foward no matter what weight I use. I think I'm going to do the Smith Machine to get my form down and so I use my legs and just don't bend foward. I know the Smith Machine isn't desired but I think it would be best for my form and then move on to the barbell again. Thoughts?

You might try stretching your hip flexors and shoulders. I worked with a trainer this weekend, I had the same problem and that was her suggestion.

Oh good idea! I will work on that through out the weekend and until I lift again (and probably continue to do so!) I think I will also put a bench in the squat rack w/ me to know I'm going down far enough (make my butt touch it). Thanks so much for the advice!!
