    Here are this week's stats:

    01/06-01/12
    cycling: 35.5
    running: 5.9
    walking: 0.9
    total: 42.3

Of course, there was a lot more walking involved, but this was the only walking I "tracked." I used to have a pedometer, but it fell off one day, and I haven't replaced it (and most likely won't).

Still, not bad for a week! (And I still may go for a run later today... haven't decided.) ;-)

Natalie, That's a lot of running! Nice job!

My husband and I are planning to run a 10K this spring (I've just started running, really, in the last 2 months, so I'm a bit nervous about this!).

What other training do you do other than running? I'm also do Pilates 3 times a week, cardio before the Pilates classes and strength training on the non-cardio days. Do you do any of those, too, and how do you balance them?

    Sorry to hijack the thread!
  • Not quite 15 miles but I did some cross training this week.

    YTD 23.90 (18.90 running)

    Sunday 3 miles elliptical
    Monday 1 mile warmup
    Thursday 1.5 mile cooldown
    Saturday 8.5 mile run

    14 miles.

    yTD 42.90 (running 29.90)

I have gotten out of the habit since increasing my mileage (did 100 miles in November, then was sick through much of December), but I usually do kettlebell workouts 2 - 3 times a week (on non running, or short running days), and I was in week 4 of the 100 pushup program (up to 30 straight pushups in a row), and I need to start that back up. This is my first full week back to running a normal schedule, so I will try to fit those in next week. I do try to stay away from doing too many squats or lunges the day before a long run though!

    Wow, you are busy!

What types of exercises do the rest of you do with your running/walking/crawling?

I've only been running since early Dec., but today I ran 5 K in 24 minutes! That's a 7 min. 11 sec. mile!

And the best part is that I feel AWESOME! You know, just a year ago, my hubby had to practically throw me out of the house twice a week to go to the gym (and I would make his life miserable for it,too) and now I'm 78 lbs. lighter and totally hooked on getting and staying more fit.

Definitely not expected, but very welcome!

Tommy - I'm so sorry about Beth's situation. I think it's great that you are dedicating your miles to her. :flowerforyou:
