Good idea. I have made myself a plan to go through June/beginning of July.

The rest of January I'm going to get to the gym Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning before work. Get back on the elliptical and get use to working out again.

Feb 1-Apr 1 I'm doing Insanity with my boyfriend.

A week or two after Insanity, I will be doing the C25K program. I want to be done by June so I can practice the 4K in my neighborhood with my little sister.

I have always wanted to run the July 4th 4K in my neighborhood. 2013 is going to be my year. My year to make some more dreams come true and to get the body I want.

So far this week hasn't exactly gone as planned!! I did get in more exercise, I went over my exercise minutes by 340 minutes! My plan is to not eat out the entire month of January but I left my lunch home one day this week and had to go to subway but I was still within my ranges for the day. I have been managing to get my 12 cups of water in. I'm really bloated right now though so I don't expect the scale to reflect a loss when I get on it tomorrow!! I have been measuring my prepared meals to make sure I am eating the correct portion sizes. I will have to add better time management to my plan because I haven't been organized lately due to the holiday vacay and now I'm having a hard time getting back in to the routine.

^^ This is a GREAT plan!! You can do this!! For me, having it all laid out and planned out helps me to follow through. Even if I miss a day or two, it's still better than what I use to do. Practice makes perfect!! Every step in your plan no matter how big or small is a step in the right direction in my book!

So far my plans are to complete c25k and 30DS this year. I'm not really setting deadlines yet, because I don't know how long I'll be doing C25k, because I'm not exactly a runner and may need to repeat a few of the weeks before moving forward.

I also want to incorporate lifting, possibly doing 5x5 Stronglifts and New Rules of Lifting for Women this year. (We will see, I'm still figuring this out..)

My goal is to lose 37 lbs by June 12th. (My b-day) At that point I will be in onederland.

After my June 12th goal, I'll reassess my goals for the next 6 months.

    6-month goal
    SW: 236 (Jan. 1st)
    GW: 199 (Deadline June 12th)

    C25k Progress:
Completed day 1-2 of week 1 so far!

    Weight Lifting/Strength Training Progress:
Haven't gotten my equipment yet. :( Looking at the middle of the month for that.

Other goals I have, is to have at least 10,000 steps daily. With the exception of days I may be sick, or otherwise indisposed (I know we are having a roadtrip in march, and I might not be able to get the steps on the days we are driving) so I'll give myself 1-2 days per month leeway.

I'm thinking I'll edit this to help keep track of progress as it goes. Either way, it was great getting it all typed out, really helped me figure everything I wanted for the year out. :)

    Hello all,
I see some great plans here!
Sorry, I am not a runner yet. However, I have become a pretty fair walker. I use my treadmill, walk at my farm which has lots of hills to get my heart beating, and Zumba DVDs that l got for Christmas for toning. I also am trying for 10,000 + steps a day. Right now I do around 5000 to 7000+ and would like to work up to the 10,000 during Jan.

My goal is to lose 42 + lbs by June 30th, my wedding anniversary. I will be in onederland by then. I haven't been there in 30 years! That in itself will be awesome!!!
From July 1 through Dec. 31, I plan to lose another 40+ pounds. That would put me in the "normal" weight range at 150 lbs. I will then take some time off from losing and let my skin catch up to my body and maintain a while. I had planned to get down to 140 ultimately , but I will reassess after I maintain for a few months at 150.

    6-month goal
    SW: 233 (Jan. 1st)
GW: around 190 (Deadline June 30th)
    UGW: 150 (Deadline Dec. 31st)

    As far as exercise goes:
I will walk daily a min. of 30 mins. but gradually increase it to 120 mins. by July 1.
I plan to alternate days on my treadmill and Zumba through Jan. and Feb. Treadmill time will be the same amount as walking.
Zumba at least 3-4 times a week for 30 mins, through Jan/Feb.. but gradually increasing it to 60+ mins. every other day by July 1 (especially for toning). I don't have a gym close by or equipment to lift weights—just two 2.5 pound Zumba sticks right now (kind of pathetic for weight lifting, I know). Hopefully, I can get some equipment during the summer and do better strength training then.
I have made myself a wall chart with my PLANNED exercises laid out till July 1 to keep me on track. Hope it works. My one down days are Sundays, in which I plan only to walk.
I want this weight off and I have to stay motivated. I think this will keep me accountable. I know that this is an ambitious weight loss in one year, but I need to get it off!! I have taken off 70lbs in 7 months, so I have hopes that I can do this!!!!!!

Thanks Ladies for joining in!! So week one of this challenge, no weightloss for me!! I'm not surprised because I do this every month midcycle. My body holds on to fluid and then the last two weeks of the month, I start dropping again! I hope this continues to be the case. The good news is, I'm enjoying how much better I feel and I have learned to not allow the scale to be my demise. I'm happy to say that I made it through the first week of the New Year eating healthy and moving forward towards completing my goals.

Week 2 resulted in 1 pound lost!! I will take that! I was beginning to get worried that I was going to be at a very long plateau!

I'm feeling pretty good about my journey to this point. I have set my 2nd goal for Valentines day to be at 50 lbs lost. That would be one day after 5 months into my journey. As of 1/12/13 I was at 45 lbs lost. It hasn't always been easy and I do have my plateaus. But I have to say I owe alot of it to MFP and my MFP pals, family and friends. Without their support, I wouldn't be so successful. But I am a firm believer in journaling as I feel that it makes you accountable for what your are putting into your body and what you are doing to your body. I log all my food as well as excersise. It comes along with me everywhere I go! I want to wish each of you the best in 2013 and am here to support you and encourage you along your journey. Keep up the good work, you will be successful!

Thanks, I think this week I will remain at last weeks weight, hasn't been a good week. I need to weigh in tomorrow, not expecting much. Haven't been able to do too much, two of my bambinos have been sick and have had luncheon meetings and that has taken away from my work out time. I'm hoping I don't get sick as I've not been feeling quiet myself this last day or two. Have a great week.

I started January off at 131 (due to holiday eating). After about two weeks, I was back down to 129. My goal is to focus on exercising and eating better (lay off of some of the junk foods) with the goal of maintaining between 128 and 131. I have (132) set as my alarm weight! If I get up to 132, it's time to make some changes to get back down.

My exercise routine consists of Weider X-Factor 8-Week DVD program (a Christmas gift) and VARIOUS Jillian Michaels DVD's (I LOVE all Jillian Michael's workouts). I ordered Rockin' Body with Shaun T. from Beach Body, and it should be in this week. I'm looking forward to adding this dance workout into my weekly rotation schedule.

I'm excited as of yesterday I am at 50.2 lost. I've met my Valentine day goal a few weeks early. I have been asked to Lead a Weight Loss Encouragement Support group at my Church, just waiting for approval. Have enough interested people. I'm excited, now I need to start thinking about my 3rd goal. I really need to think about this, because I think I've made the last two to easy. I've met them both with a week or two to spare. I am here to support each an everyone of you wonderful people. You are each doing an amazing job on your journies. Keep up the great work, you have lots to be proud of. Have a blessed week.

Help, how do you work this quote function. I've made a couple attempts to show my support to various group members but can't seem to make it work like Kenya does. I've cut the quote on the ones I did and mentioned the name of the user hope you can connect my words of inspiration, support and encouragement.

    HI Everyone~
Each of you are doing so good on their weight loss. I'm proud of you all :drinker:, because losing is not easy to accomplish!!!

I had slowed down to a pound in 2 weeks, so I increased my calories up 150 or so to see if it would help me. It scared me to death to do it, but it must have helped, because yesterday I dropped 3 pounds out of nowhere. However, I do this a lot, so it may not have anything to do with upping the calories. Time will tell. I am now down 88 pounds and only 15 pounds away from ONEderland.
I have a hard time being patient with myself, because I want to get there so badly and quickly, too! But as I look back, I have lost 9 pounds since Feb.1 (thanks to the 3 pound drop yesterday) and 19 since Jan. 1. I'm doing fine, just have to practice patience!!! I still want to lose one more pound by the 28th of this month (my husband's birthday) and shoot for another 10 pounds next month. If I achieve these mini goals, I will be only 5 pounds from ONEderland.!! Baring no problems or plateaus, April will be my BIGmonth! I will be down under 100 pounds during that month and be in ONEderland!! I will feel like I have achieved my first MAJOR hurdle by that time. The next major hurdle will come when I get out of the OBESE category (around 185 and into over weight)... After that comes leaving the over weight category behind at around 155. From then on it will be where I feel good about stopping, probably around 140 to 150, but I will determine that when I get there.
Keep up the great work, you all!!! Debra, Kenya and Desi, you are amazing and such good support for others!! We WILL Accomplish Our Goals!!. Remember: Drink that water and move that body!!

So far I am down 10 lbs even since the beginning of this challenge, which averages out perfectly to one pound a week! Even though I stalled for a while, the weeks that I lost more made up for the weeks I lost nothing...LOL!!
