January 11th Challenge - Idea

I didn't see one yesterday, and you'd be surprised how much I love these daily challenges! It's Friday, and I think a great weekend goal would be that 30 minutes a day dancing (or just some form of cardio!) but also, to hit your 8 glasses of water a day through out the whole weekend.

Just a thought! :)

    Hey! I was just writing a challenge and apologizing for not posting one yesterday - I got so busy at work that I completely forgot. Thanks for yours. Funny that we both thought of the 30 minutes a day of dancing/cardio. Here's what I had in mind.

    Challenges for today:
    1. Try an exercise today that you've never done before.
    2. Think of your favorite recipe and see how you can make it healthier.

    This weekend's challenges:
    1. Get 30 minutes of cardio (any kind) in each day.
    2. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.
    3. Find a new recipe/food that you would like to try in the coming week. Maybe we can exchange recipes as well. I'm always looking for new and interesting foods/recipes to try.

    Ah awsome challenge ladies well I made spaghetti squash a recipe I found on skinny tastes its awsome it had Marina sauce and chicken and mozzarella cheese and I have never had spaghetti squash

    I love cooking and trying new recipes. I just found two new ones on www.poorgirleatswell.com that I want to try this weekend, or sometime soon.

    I think a recipe swap would be a fun time had by all :)

    I'm making a lightly marinated steak tonight. Real simple so you can really enjoy the flavors of the meat! Just marinate overnight with about 3 tbs of low sodium teriyaki sauce, some pepper, and some garlic then grill to your preference. I'm serving it with a microwaved baked potato with a small pat of regular butter and a pinch of 2% milk fat cheddar and of course, veggies!!

    I got about 12 glasses of water in last night, 55 minutes of intense cardio, I have 30 minutes today and 60 minutes tomorrow!

    Alrighty, so I drank past my 8 glasses each day :D and I did more than 30 cardio each day. Woot ^_^ Challenge accomplished. I'll do my best do weigh in tomorrow before work.

    So here are my results for our Friday-Sunday challenges:
    Friday:
    1. I tried the standing calve raise machine at the gym - it was crazy hard but gives me something to work at.
    2. We were having hamburgers and french fries for dinner so to make it healthier I changed up the ketchup for salsa and avocado and instead of french fries I had salad.

    Weekend Challenges:
    1. 40 min cardio Friday and 120 min cardio Saturday. Yesterday I wasn't feeling well so I lounged all day.
    2. I drank 16 glasses Friday, 12 Saturday and 12 yesterday.
    3. I am going to try a new fish recipe this week. I'll let you know how it turns out :)
