Lifting routine

For you experienced lifters out there I wonder if any of you have ever seen a workout that involved 4 sets 2X15 then 2X5 with the weight increasing obviously. I got bored earlier this week, unfocused and curious and tried it on bench, incline, rows and lat pulls, honestly it was brutal. I was just curious if anyone had seen anything on it. I've googled a little bit and can't find anything.

It doesn't ring a bell with me.
If I WERE to do something like this, I would prefer doing the heavy 2x5 first (after sufficiently warming up) and following it with 2x15 so that I'm not exhausting myself prior to the heavy work.0 -
Not with an increasing weight. I've seen rest-pause or myo reps done something like that with the same weight.0

I'd flip it and do the heavy sets first unless you're using the 2x15 as a warmup. I think you'll benefit more from it.
Assuming you do flip it, there are lots of paradigms out there that are very similar, you're basically doing drop sets.0 -
I would flip as well. I have not seen suggestions this way either - usually it is heavy first, then lighter after, otherwise you are not really getting the best benefit from the strength rep range due to fatigue.0

Thanks guys, yeah I have seen the flip version of it, I just wanted to try something new, and no this wasn't warm up, I warmed up first then did pretty heavy 80lb dumbells 2X15 then did 2X5 with the 100lbs, it was pretty brutal.0
